Abstract

Pencemaran lingkungan disebabkan adanya logam berat yang masuk dalam perairan. Salah satu zat pencemar lingkungan adalah Pb dan Cd. Jenis mangrove Avicennia marina memiliki kemampuan mengakumulasi logam berat pada akarnya dan logam berat yang terendap juga akan terakumulasi pada kerang bulu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui konsentrasi, kemampuan mengakumulasi dan perbedaan pengaruh akumulasi logam berat Pb dan Cd di sedimen, kerang bulu dan akar Avicennia marina. Penentuan stasiun menggunakan metode purposive sampling berdasarkan karakteristiknya, Stasiun 1 dekat dengan pelabuhan, Stasiun 2 dekat dengan pemukiman dan Stasiun 3 dekat dengan muara sungai. Data yang diukur adalah kualitas perairan (salinitas, suhu, DO, pH) serta pengukuran kualitas sedimen (pH sedimen dan fraksinasi sedimen). Analisis Pb dan Cd menggunakan metode AAS. Hasil kualitas perairan tergolong baik pada ekosistem mangrove Sukabumi. Rata-rata konsentrasi logam berat Pb pada sedimen, kerang bulu dan akar Avicennia marina berturut–turut 12.591±1.18ppm, 10.393±2.28ppm dan 5.963±0.64ppm. Konsentrasi logam berat Cd pada sedimen, kerang bulu dan akar Avicennia marina berturut-turut 1.887±0.13ppm, 0.816±0.04ppm dan 0.420±0.06ppm. Terdapat perbedaan konsentrasi logam berat terhadap media (sedimen, kerang bulu dan akar Avicennia marina) dan tidak ada perbedaan konsentrasi logam berat terhadap perbedaan stasiun. Nilai BCF kerang bulu dan akar Avicennia marina memiliki nilai (<1) pada ekosistem mangrove Sukabumi, Probolinggo.

English Abstract

Environmental pollution is caused by heavy metal that entering the water. One of the environmental pollutants is Pb and Cd. Avicennia marina mangroves have ability to accumulate heavy metals at the roots and heavy metals that are sediment will also accumulate in fur shells. The aim of this research is to know determine concentration, have an ability to accumulation and have a difference accumulation effect of heavy metals of Pb and Cd in sediment, Anadara antiquata and Avicennia marina roots. Determination of the station is using purposive sampling method that based on the characteristics, Station 1 is near to the port, Station 2 is near to the settlement and Station 3 is near to the mouth of the river. The data that measured were water quality (salinity, temperature, DO, pH) and also sediment quality measurement (sediment pH and sediment fractionation). Analysis of Pb and Cd us by AAS method. The quality of waters is in natural condition Sukabumi mangrove ecosystem. The concentrations mean of Pb heavy metals on sediments, fur shells and Avicennia marina roots were 12,591 ± 1.18ppm, 10,393 ± 2.28ppm and 5,963 ± 0.64ppm respectively. The concentrations of Cd heavy metals in sediment, shell and root of Avicennia marina were respectively 1,887 ± 0.13ppm, 0.816 ± 0.04ppm and 0.420 ± 0.06ppm. There is a significant different in concentration of heavy metals to the media (sediments, fur shells and Avicennia marina roots) and there is no different in heavy metal concentrations against station differences. The value of BCF fur shells and Avicennia marina has a value (<1) in the mangrove ecosystem of Sukabumi, Probolinggo.
