Abstract
Bagi suatu perusahaan, modal kerja merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam menjalankan aktivitas usaha perusahaan. Ketersediaan modal kerja yang cukup memungkinkan perusahaan dapat beroperasi dengan efisien dan tidak mengalami kesulitan keuangan. Modal kerja kerja mempunyai hubungan erat dengan profitabilitas. Semakin baik pengelolaan modal kerja maka semakin meningkat pula profitabilitas yang diperoleh. Pengelolaan modal kerja yang efektif akan memberikan kontribusi terhadap tingkat profitabilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi modal kerja pada PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia, Tbk dan pengelolaan modal kerja yang efektif dalam meningkatkan profitabilitas PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia, Tbk. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Lokasi pengambilan data penelitian dilakukan dengan data sekunder di Galeri Investasi Bursa Efek Indonesia Universitas Brawijaya Malang dengan obyek laporan keuangan tahunan PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia, Tbk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi modal kerja PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia, Tbk pada tahun 2011-2015 mengalami fluktuasi. Pada tahun 2012 terjadi kenaikan modal kerja sebesar USD 185,409 sedangan tahun 2013- 2015 mengalami penurunan modal kerja sebesar USD 79,309 di tahun 2013, tahun 2014 turun sebesar USD 153,067, dan tahun 2015 turun sebesar USD 255,476. Rasio profitabilitas pun mengalami penurunan selama lima tahun terakhir ini. Hal ini terlihat dari penurunan GPM, OPM, NPM, ROI, dan ROE.
English Abstract
For a company, working capital is one of the most important components in running company's business activity. The availability of sufficient working capital sustains the company to operate efficiently and prohibits financy difficulty. Working capital has close relation with profitability. If the management of working capital is better, then the profitability will increase. Its efective management will give contribution to profitability level. This research aims to recognize the capital condition in PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia, Tbk and its effective management to increase the profitability. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. The location of research data taking is done with secunder data in Galeri Investasi Bursa Efek Indonesia, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, in which the object is annual financial report PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia, Tbk. The result of the research shows the working capital of PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia, Tbk from 2011 to 2015 which is fluctuated. On 2012, the working capital increases in the amount of USD 185.409, while on 2013 it decreases to USD 79.309. On 2014 2014, it decreases to USD 153.067 and on 2015 it decreases to USD 255.476. In the last 5 years, the ratio of profitability is indeed decreasing. It can be seen from the decreasing of GPM, OPM, NPM, ROI and ROE.
