Abstract

Diantara banyak jenis kumbang, kumbang Ambrosia adalah salah satu penyebab kematian pohon di hutan. Spesies kumbang ambrosia termasuk dalam golongan family Scolytidae dan Platypodidae yang tersebar luas di daerah tropis. Saat ini terdapat sekitar 7400 spesies kumbang ambrosia yang diantaranya termasuk kedalam famili Platypodidae (± 1400 spesies) dan Scolytidae (± 6000 spesies). Untuk saat ini, belum banyak informasi tentang keberadaan populasi dan keanekaragaman kumbang ambrosia pada tanaman mahoni dan pinus, khususnya di daerah Kabupaten Mojokerto. Oleh karena itu, didalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengamatan untuk mengetahui keberadaan dan perbedaan keanekaragaman kumbang ambrosia pada lahan mahoni dan pinus di Kabupaten Mojokerto. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di hutan mahoni dan pinus milik Perhutani KPH Pasuruan yang terletak di Kecamatan Trawas dan Kecamatan Pacet, Mojokerto. Untuk lahan pengamatan 1 berada di Kecamatan Trawas, yaitu hutan mahoni, sedangkan untuk lahan pengamatan 2 berada di Kecamatan Pacet yaitu hutan pinus. Setiap lahan dibagi menjadi 2 plot pengamatan, setiap plot pengamatan dipasang 10 perangkap. Pengamatan dilakukan sebanyak 8 kali dengan interval 2 kali pengamatan dalam satu minggu selama satu bulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, didapatkan 165 individu kumbang ambrosia yang termasuk dalam 2 famili, 9 genus dan 14 spesies. Pada lahan mahoni plot 1 terdapat 1 famili, 5 genus, 9 spesies, plot 2 terdapat 1 famili, 3 genus, 7 spesies. Pada lahan pinus plot 1 terdapat 2 famili, 5 genus, 7 spesies, plot 2 terdapat 1 famili, 7 genus, 10 spesies. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman tertinggi terdapat pada lahan pinus plot 2 (H’=2.078), kemudian lahan pinus plot 1 (H’=1.834), lahan mahoni plot 2 (H’=1.483) dan yang terendah pada lahan mahoni plot 1 (H’= 1.280). Nilai indeks Kemerataan tertinggi terdapat pada lahan pinus plot 1 (E=1.014), kemudian lahan pinus plot 2 (E=0.975), lahan mahoni plot 2 (E=0.762) dan yang terendah pada lahan mahoni plot 1 (E=0.582). Nilai indeks dominansi tertinggi terdapat pada lahan pinus plot 2 (D=0.848), kemudian plot 1 (D=0.820), lahan mahoni plot 2 (D=0.709) dan terendah lahan mahoni plot 1 (D=0.574). Terdapat kemiripan komunitas kumbang ambrosia lahan mahoni plot 1 dan lahan mahoni plot 2 (0.523). Keanekaragaman kumbang ambrosia pada lahan pinus lebih tinggi daripada lahan mahoni.

English Abstract

Among the many species of beetles, Ambrosia beetles are one of the causes of tree death in the forest. Species of ambrosia beetles belong to the Scolytidae and Platypodidae family groups that are widespread in the tropics. Currently there are about 7400 species of ambrosia beetles which include among the family Platypodidae (± 1400 species) and Scolytidae (± 6000 species). For now, there is not much information about the existence of population and diversity of ambrosia beetle on mahogany and pine forest, especially in Mojokerto. Therefore, in this study conducted observations in the area of perhutani on mahogany and pine forest of Mojokerto to know the existence and diversity difference of ambrosia beetle on mahogany and pine. Sampling was conducted in mahogany and pine forest of Perhutani KPH Pasuruan located in District of Trawas and Pacet, Mojokerto. For land observation 1 is in District Trawas, mahogany forest. While for observation area 2 is in District of Pacet that is pine forest. Each field divided into 2 observation plots, each observation plot mounted 10 traps. Observations were made 8 times at intervals, 2 observations a week for a month. Based on the results of research, obtained 165 ambrosia beetle included in 2 families, 9 genus and 14 species. In mahogany plot 1 there is 1 family, 5 genus, 9 species, plot 2 there is 1 family, 3 genus, 7 species. In pine plot 1 area there are 2 families, 5 genera, 7 species, plot 2 there is 1 family, 7 genus, 10 species. The highest diversity index value was found in pine plot 2 (H '= 2,078), then pine plot 1 (H' = 1.834), mahogany plot 2 (H '= 1.483) and the lowest in mahogany plot 1 (H' = 1.280). The highest values of the fairness index were found in pine plot 1 (E = 1.014), then pine plot 2 (E = 0.975), mahogany plot 2 (E = 0.762) and the lowest in mahogany plot 1 (E = 0.582). The highest dominance index value was found in pine plot 2 (D = 0.848), then plot 1 (D = 0.820), mahogany plot 2 (D = 0.709) and lowest mahogany plot 1 (D = 0.574). There is a similarity of the community of ambrosia beetle of mahogany plot 1 and mahogany plot 2 (0.523). The diversity of ambrosia beetle in pine is higher than mahogany.
