Abstract
Keberadaan perpustakaan sekolah dapat berfungsi secara maksimal dan memberi manfaat yang besar bagi siswa dalam menunjang proses pembelajarannya, bila ditunjang dengan minat baca siswa yang tinggi. Namun minat baca siswa SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro Mojokerto ternyata masih rendah. Untuk mengatasi rendahnya minat baca siswa, dapat ditempuh dengan jalan memberikan motivasi ekstrinsik. Salah satu contoh motivasi ekstrinsik adalah peran orang tua. Dengan demikian melalui peran serta orang tua secara aktif dalam memotivasi anaknya akan memberikan dampak positif terhadap meningkatnya minat baca siswa baik mereka berada di lingkungan rumah maupun di perpustakaan sekolah. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah di atas, rumusan masalah yang ditetapkan dalam penelitian adalah Bagaimana pengaruh motivasi orang tua terhadap minat baca siswa di Perpustakaan sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro Mojokerto. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui, mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis pengaruh motivasi orang tua terhadap minat baca siswa di Perpustakaan sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro Mojokerto dalam pemanfaatan perpustakaan. Mengingat tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis pengaruh motivasi orang tua terhadap minat baca siswa di Perpustakaan sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro Mojokerto dalam pemanfaatan perpustakaan, maka penelitian ini dapat digolongkan dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif/Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro Mojokerto Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017yang terdiri dari 8 (delapan) rombongan belajar sejumlah 256 siswa. sampel adalah sebanyak 72 siswa. Kemudian pengambilan sampel sebanyak 72 responden yang didasarkan atas teknik Proporsional Sampling dengan kombinas random sampling. Untuk memperoleh data yang akurat tentang pengaruh motivasi orang tua terhadap minat baca siswa, peneliti menggunakan instrumen pengumpulan data, berupa angket. dan data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan rumus regresi linear.Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan Regresi linear, menunjukkanvariabel X memiliki koefisien regresi sebesar 0,279, kemudian dengan menggunakan bantuan software SPSS, didapatkan statistik uji t sebesar 3,506 dengan signifikan sebesar 0,001. Nilai statistik uji |thitung| tersebut lebih besar daripada ttabel (3,506 > 1,994) dan signifikan lebih kecil daripada α = 0,05. Pengujian ini menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel X (Motivasi orang tua) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel Y (Minat Baca siswa)
English Abstract
Existence of the school library can be function in maximal way and give advantage for students to support their learning process, if the students have hight readinginterest. But in SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro, the student read interest is still low. To surpass the students low reading interest, we can give them exentrict motivation way. One of the example for exentrict motivation is parenting. So with this actif parenting way to motivate their children will give them positif result toward readinginterest students increase, although they in home or in the school library. Based on the formulation problem background above, the statement of the that fixed in this research is how about in influence problem parent motivation toward student readinginterest in the school library at SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro Mojokerto. The goal of this research is to know, to description and to analis about the effect of the parent motivation toward student readinginterest in the school library at SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro Mojokerto for library advantage. To remember about this research goal is to know, to description and analis about the influence of the parent motivation toward student readinginterest in the school library at SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro Mojokerto for library advantage, then this research can be classify in kind of escription qualitative research.Population of this research is student from ten (X) class in SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro Mojokerto 2016/2017 that consist of eight study group that is 256 students. The sample of this research is 72 students and then the sample taking over is 72 students based on the proporsional sampling technique that combine with random sampling. To get the accurate data about the influence of the parent motivation toward student readinginterest, the scientist. Using instrument data collect is that angket and the data that collected will be using by linier regression formula. Based on the result of the consier linier regression, show us that x variable have regression coefficient 0,279% and then by using spss software we get statistic trial 3,506 with significant value 0,001. The value of this statistic trial ( tcount) is bigger that t table (3,506>1,994) and significant smaller than α= 0,05. This trial show us that H0 rejected and Ha accepted, so e can onclussion that X variable (parent motivation) can influencial toward Y variable ( student read desire).
