Abstract
Setiap kali pemilihan legislatif digelar, selalu menghadirkan kelompok pemilih pemula pada setiap periode pelaksanaannya. Kriteria pemilih pemula berusia 17 tahun ke atas atau telah menikah pada saat pemilihan maka kelompok ini dikategorikan sebaga pemilih pemula. Untuk konteks pemilihan legislatif di kabupaten Gresik tahun 2014 yang merupakan momentum dalam menentukan anggota DPRD secara langsung. Terdapat kelompok pemilih pemula yang berjumlah sekitar 895 orang dari 5107 orang yang ikut berpartisipasi memberikan suaranya pada pemilihan legislatife kabupaten gresik tahun 2014. Kecenderungan kelompok pemilih pemula telah menganggap bahwa penggunaan hak pilih merupakan sesuatu yang begitu penting. Namun, terdapat kecenderungan mereka menggunakan pilihan politik berdasarkan pilihan orangtua, teman sebaya dan terkait erat dengan trend politik kaum muda yang identik dengan semangat reformasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan perilaku pemilih pemula di kelurahan indro pada pemilihan legislatife tahun 2014. Manfaat penelitian ini adalah sebagai bahan informasi ilmiah bagi peneliti-peneliti yang ingin mengkaji perilaku pemilih pemula dalam menjatuhkan pilihan politiknya dalam pemilihan legislatife. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah desktiptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan dasar penelitian deskriptif analisis. Unit analisis penelitian adalah individu yaitu pemilih pemula. Ada tiga pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan sosiologis, pendekatan psikologis, dan pendekatan pilihan rasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pendekatan sosiologis pemilih pemula memilih karena adanya kesamaan daerah, pendekatan psikologis, pemilih pemula menjatuhkan pilihannya berdasarkan ikatan emosional terhadap seorang kandidat. Dan pendekatan pilihan rasional, pemilih pemula memilih kandidat karena program yang ditawarkan serta keberhasilan dan prestasi yang dicapai oleh kandidat tersebut. Kecenderungan perilaku pemilih pemula di kelurahan indro pada pemilihan legislatife tahun 2014 lebih mengarah pada perilaku pemilih yang sosiologis. Pemilih pemula kelurahan indro dalam memilih kandidat dan menjatuhkan pilihannya dipengaruhi latar belakang dari lingkungan keluarga mereka. Akibatnya preferensi pilihan orangtua dan anak cukup tinggi. Dari semua informasi yang berhasil diwawancarai hampir semua diantaranya memiliki preferensi yang sama dengan orangtuanya.
English Abstract
Every time the legislative elections are held, always brings groups of beginner voters in each period of implementation. The criteria of beginner voters are 17 years old and over or have been married at the time of the election then this group are categorized as beginner voters. For context of legislative elections in Gresik of 2014 which was the momentum in determining the legislators directly. There were beginner voters about 895 people out of 5107 people who participated to vote in the election district Gresik Regency of 2014. The trend for the beginner voters have considered that the use of vote right is something that is so important. However, there was tendency to use their political choice based on the choice of parents, peers and closely linked to the political trend of youth that is synonymous with the spirit of reform. The purpose of this study is to describe the behavior of beginner voters of Indro ward in legislative election of 2014. The research benefits are as scientific information materials for researchers who want to study the behavior of beginner voters in imposing political choices in the legislative election. The method used is qualitative descriptive analysis by using the research base of analysis descriptive. The analysis unit is the individual of beginner voters. There are three approaches that used namely sociological, psychological, and rational choice approaches. The results showed that the sociological approach for beginner voters because of the similarity of area, psychological approach, the beginner voters use their vote based on emotional attachment to candidate. And the rational choice approach, the beginner voters choose candidates because the program offered as well as the successes and achievements of the candidate. Behavioral tendency of beginner voter in the Indro ward in the legislative election of 2014 more directed at the sociological behavior. Indro ward beginner voters in selecting candidates and impose his choice influenced by the background of their family environment. As the result, the election preference of parent and child is quite high. From all informant that were interviewed almost all of them have the same preference with parents.
