Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi politik luar negeri Indonesia di era pemerintahan Joko Widodo, khususnya dari sisi orientasi politik luar negeri Indonesia yang dilandasi atas jati dirinya sebagai negara maritim. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk menjelaskan apakah fenomena-fenomena yang terjadi di wilayah internal dan eksternal Indonesia mempengaruhi orientasi tersebut. Dalam menganalisa fenomena tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan konsep Politik Luar Negeri yang dikemukakan oleh James Rosenau. Dengan menggunakan dua level analisis, yakni sumber sistemik dan sumber masyakarat, penelitian akan fokus pada 3 dari 14 sumber utama atau inputs politik luar negeri; Struktur Negara-negara Besar, Faktor Situasional:Eksternal, dan Faktor Situasional:Internal. Sesuai dengan tiga sumber politik luar negeri tersebut, hipotesis yang terbangun ialah identitas di dalam orientasi politik luar negeri Indonesia di era pemerintahan Joko Widodo dipengaruhi oleh Struktur negara-negara besar dan fenomena-fenomena seperti Maritime Silk Road, Piracy and Armed Robbery, konflik Laut Tiongkok Selatan, dan Illegal, Unregulated, and Unreported Fishing. Dengan demikian, di akhir penelitian akan disimpulkan apakah hipotesis ini sesuai atau bertolak belakang dengan data yang telah terkumpul dan dianalisis.

English Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors which drives Indonesian Foreign Policy under President Joko Widodo, specifically in terms of identity in Indonesian foreign policy orientation as a maritime country. This research will explain the phenomena which occurs within internal and external environment of Indonesia that affects that orientation. When it comes to the analysis, this research uses James Rosenau’s Foreign Policy concept. With two Level of Analysis, which are systemic sources and societal sources, this research will focus on 3 out of 14 foreign policy sources or inputs; Great Power Structure, Situational Factor: External, and Situational Factor: Internal. In line with those three inputs, the hypotheses of this research are Great Power Structure and phonemona like Maritime Silk Road, Piracy and Armed Robbery, South China Sea conflict, and Illegal, Unregulated, and Unreported Fishing affect Indonesian foreign policy orientation which characterizes as a maritime country. Therefore, in the end of this research, the conclusion will be based upon whether these hypotheses in line or contradict with the data that have been gathered and analyzed.
