Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi guru berdasarkan persepsi siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Kompetensi guru yang diukur dalam penelitian ini meliputi kompetensi pedagogi, kompetensi profesional, kompetensi kepribadian,dan kompetensi sosial guru Fisika. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Katolik Kolose Santo Yusup Malang dengan sampel 234 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas X IPA dan XI IPA. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan cluster sampling. Data yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini berasal dari hasil pengisian kuesioner dan nilai UTS siswa yang terkumpul pada koordinator Bimbingan dan Konseling Sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi product moment pearson yang menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan antara kompetensi guru berdasarkan persepsi siswa dan nilai UTS siswa (rxy = 0.170; p-value = 0,009). Kompetensi profesional dan kompetensi kepribadian yang memiliki korelasi yang signifikan terhadap Nilai UTS siswa. Kompetensi profesional dengan rxy= 0,173 dan p-value = 0,008, dan kompetensi kepribadian dengan rxy= 0,174 dan p-value = 0,009. Semakin tinggi kompetensi guru di aspek profesional dan kepribadian berdasarkan persepsi siswa maka semakin berhubungan dengan capaian nilai UTS siswa.
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the competence of teachers based on students' perceptions of student achievement. Teacher competencies measured in this study include pedagogical competence, professional competence, personality competence, and social competence of Physics teachers. This research was conducted in Catholic Senior High School Kolose Santo Yusup Malang with a sample of 234 students consisting of class X IPA and XI IPA. Sampling in this study using cluster sampling. The data obtained in this study comes from the results of filling questionnaires and student UTS scores collected on the Coordinator Guidance and School Counseling. This study used product moment pearson correlation test which showed significant result between teacher competence based on student's perception and student's UTS score (rxy = 0.170; p-value = 0,009). Professional competence and personality competencies that have a significant correlation to student's UTS score. Professional competence with rxy = 0,173 and p-value = 0,008, and personality competence with rxy = 0,174 and p-value = 0,009. The higher the competence of teachers in the aspect of professional and personality based on students' perceptions then more related to student achievement UTS score.
