Abstract

Penelitian ini berisi tentang dimensi organization-public relationship yang diaplikasikan dalam aktivitas media relations. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan, menggambarkan, dan memahami seperti apa dimensi Organization-Public Relationship dalam aktivitas media relations terkait pembukaan Terminal 3 Bandara Soekarno-Hatta. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma interpretif dengan metode kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview), observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada isu Terminal 3 Bandara Soekarno-Hatta, penerapan organization-public relationship dalam media relations yang maksimal berimplikasi kepada berhasilnya public relations AP II BSH mempertahankan citra positif. Hasil dari hubungan baik yang terjalin antara public relations AP II BSH dengan jurnalis adalah kepercayaan, kepuasan terhadap hubungan, komitmen untuk mempertahankan hubungan dan keterikatan emosional. Aktivitas media relations yang dilakukan oleh public relations AP II BSH menggunakan strategi interpersonal relationship yang meliputi aspek access, positivity, openness, assurance dan networking melalui aktivitas media relations formal dan non formal.

English Abstract

This study discuss about dimensions of organization-public relationship that applied in media relations activities. This study aimed to describe dimensions of organization-public relationship in media relations acitivities at PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Bandara Soekarno-Hatta related to the opening of Terminal 3 Bandara Soekarno-Hatta. This study is a descriptive study with qualitative methods, using depth interview, observation and documentation study. The results of this study illustrate that on the issue of Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the maximal implementation of organization-public relationship in media relations implicates to the successful public relations AP II BSH maintains a positive image. The outcomes of a good relationship between public relations AP II BSH with journalists are trust, satisfaction to relationships, commitment to maintaining the relationship and emotional attachment. Media relations activities conducted by public relations AP II BSH use an interpersonal relationship strategy covering aspects of access, positivity, openness, assurance, and networking through formal and informal media relations activities.
