Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran kepercayaan diri dan harga diri terhadap narsisme pada pengguna Instagram. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah pengguna aktif Instagram dengan usia 18-24 tahun dan minimal telah mengunggah satu foto atau video dalam satu bulan terakhir. Jumlah sampel penelitian adalah sebanyak 183 mahasiswa perguruan tinggi. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan skala kepercayaan diri, harga diri, dan narsisme. Analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peran kepercayaan diri dan harga diri pada narsisme pengguna Instagram. Kata Kunci: Harga Diri, Kepercayaan Diri, Narsisme

English Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the role of self confidence and self esteem toward narcissism in Instagram users. The population was the active Instagram users who are 18-24 years old and have minimal one photo or video uploaded in their Instagram account for at least a month. The samples were 183 college students. This study used the purposive sampling technique. The instrument of this study was a self confidence scale, self esteem scale, and a narcissism scale. Multiple linear regression was used for data analyse. The result showed that there is role of self confidence and self esteem toward narcissism in Instagram users.
