Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana NET TV melakukan konstruksi tentang figur polisi melalui program reality show “86”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana konstruksi yang dilakukan reality show “86” dalam membingkai figur polisi di NET TV. Secara metodologi, penelitian ini menggunakan analisis framing dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Dengan menggunakan analisis framing Robert N. Entman yang menekankan pada problem identification, causal interpretation, moral evaluation, dan treatment recommendation. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa media NET TV sebagai agen konstruksi melakukan rekonstruksi terhadap identitas kepolisian Indonesia dengan menonjolkan beberapa aspek dari fenomena polisi di lapangan yang dikemas secara halus melalui program hiburan yang dibangun melalui studi kasus yang polisi temui di lapangan, narasi-narasi polisi yang membangun (nasehat atau wejangan), serta musik latar yang mendukung sehingga membentuk definisi-definisi tertentu mengenai kehidupan manusia, seperti siapa pahlawan dan siapa penjahat, apa yang baik dan apa yang buruk bagi khalayak.

English Abstract

This study discusses how NET TV did construction of police figures on reality show "86". This study aims to find out how the construction of reality show "86" in framing police figure on NET TV. Methodologically, this research uses framing analysis with descriptive qualitative research type. By using framing analysis Robert N. Entman that emphasizes the problem of identification, causal interpretation, moral evaluation, and treatment recommendation. The results of this study found that NET TV as a construction agent reconstruct the identity of Indonesian police with some aspects of the phenomenon of the police in the field that is packed in full through entertainment programs built through case studies that police encounter in the field, the police narratives that Build (Advice or discourse), and what music supports the formation of certain definitions of human life, such as who the heroes are and who the villains are, what is good and what is bad for the public.
