Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara kepribadian narsistik dengan intensi mengunggah foto di instagram pada mahasiswa laki-laki Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa laki-laki pengguna media sosial instagram di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya dengan sampel 100 orang. Teknik sampling menggunakan accidental sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh menggunakan skala kepribadian narsistik yang disusun sendiri oleh peneliti berdasarkan teori Ackerman (2011) dan skala intensi mengunggah foto menggunakan skala Mayori (2015) berdasarkan teori Ajzen (2005). Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi Product Moment Pearson. Hasil penelitian dengan analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,305 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,002 (p<0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara kepribadaian narsistik dengan intensi mengunggah foto di instagram pada mahasiswa laki-laki Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya.
English Abstract
This study aims to find out whether there is a relationship between narcissistic personality with intention uploading photos in instagram on male students Faculty Of Computer Science Brawijaya University. The population in this study were students who using social media specially instagram in Faculty Of Computer Science Brawijaya University with 100 students as the sample. The researcher use accidental sampling. The research data was obtained using narcissistic personality scale that was prepared by the researchers based on Ackerman’s theory (2011) and intention scale of uploading photo used Mayori’s scale based on Ajzen’s theory (2005). Data analysis using product moment pearson correlation technique. The result of statistical analysis showed that the value of correlation coefficient of 0.305 with significance value of 0.02 (p< 0.05). These results indicate that there is a positive correlation between the narcissistic personality and the intention of uploading photos in instagram on male students Faculty Of Computer Science Brawijaya University.
