Abstract
Natural increase mwrupakan pertambahan populasi secara alami yang dihitung setiap tahunnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui performance reproduksi, sturktur populasi dan nilai natural increase. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 386 sapi perah milik peternak rakyat di Kota Batu. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode survey lokasi. Lokasi dipilih berdasarkan jumlah populasinya. Sampel dipilih secara acak. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu calving interval di Kota Batu 12,81±0,88 bulan. Persentase jumlah betina dewasa di Kota Batu yaitu 61,32%. Nilai estmasi natural increase di Kota Batu yaitu 41,47%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu performance reproduksi di Kota Batu masih dalam batas toleransi ideal dan nilai dari natural increase di Kota Batu yaitu 41,47%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disarankan untuk mengatur ketersediaaan ternak betina dewasa.
English Abstract
Natural increase is naturally livestock population growth, as measured every year. The purpose of the research was to find of reproductive performance, population structure, and natural increase value. The materials used for this research were 386 diary cattle in Batu City. The method was used in this research was survey in this location. Locations to choose based on the total of population. Samples to choose with random sampling. The result of the research that is the calving interval in Batu City 12.81±0.88 month. Percentage of adult female livestock in Batu City that is 61.32%. The value of natural increase estimated in Batu City that is 41.47%. The conclusion of the research that is reproduction performance in Batu City still in normal category and value of natural increase estimated in Batu City that is 41.47%. Based on the result, it is suggested to manage availability of female livestock.
