Abstract
Media massa merupakan media yang mempunyai kekuatan untuk memberian pengaruh pada sikap dan perilaku masyarakat. Media massa juga memiliki peran dalam mengkonstruk realitas yang ada pada masyarakat. Hal ini merupakan bentuk konstruksi realitas sosial pada masyarakat yang aktif dalam pembentukan realitas tersebut. Film mengangkat realitas yang berada di tengah masyarakat. Dalam konsumsi film, audiens diharapkan dapat memaknai realitas yang ingin dibangun sehingga unsur-unsur dibalik film tersebut dapat dipahami dengan baik. Literasi media penting dilakukan sehingga audiens dapat mengetahui dengan baik konten dan pesan tersembunyi yang disisipkan didalamnya. Metodologi penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Analisis Naratif model Labov. Data yang digunakan diantaranya adegan dan dialog dalam film sebagai teks. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik Analisis enam struktur makro Naratif Labov. Pemahaman tentang konstruksi realitas sosial sebagai teori utama analisis penelitian ini, guna mengetahui konstruksi terhadap realitas yang terdapat di dalam film. Peneliti mengangkat konstruksi realitas waria dalam hubungan ayah dan anak yang ditampilkan melalui tokoh Ipuy dan Cahaya dalam film Lovely Man. Hasil dari penelitian pada Lovely Man menampilkan bagaimana realitas yang digambarkan melalui adegan dan dialog dapat menunjukkan konstruksi yang dibangun oleh pembuat film. Penggambaran waria disesuaikan dengan ide cerita pembuat film. Kecenderungan dalam menggambarkan waria dapat mencerminkan sudut pandang pembuat film dalam menyikapi isu waria. Pemahaman tentang konstruksi realitas sosial pada media penting bagi audiens agar dapat menyikapi isu atau realitas dengan baik terhadap realitas yang dibangun oleh pembuat film.
English Abstract
Mass media is a media that has the power to influence the attitudes and behavior of society. Mass media also have a role in constructing the existing reality in society. It is a form of social reality construction in a society that is active in the formation of that reality. Movies lift the reality that is in the middle of society. In film consumption, the audience is expected to interpret the reality to be built so that the elements behind the film can be well understood. Important media literacy is done so that the audience can know well the hidden content and messages inserted therein. The methodology of this research is qualitative. The method used is the Labov Model Narrative Analysis. The data used are scenes and dialogs in the movie as text. Analytical technique used is Analytical technique of six macro structure of Naratif Labov. An understanding of the construction of social reality as the main theory of analysis of this study, to know the construction of the reality contained in the film. The researchers raised the construction of transvestite reality in the father and son relationship shown through the Ipuy and Cahaya characters in the Lovely Man movie. The results of the study on Lovely Man show how the reality depicted through scenes and dialogue can show the constructions built by the filmmakers. The transsexual depiction is adapted to the idea of the filmmaker's story. The tendency in depicting transvestites can reflect the point of view of filmmakers in addressing the issue of transvestites. An understanding of the construction of social reality in the media is important for the audience to address the issue or reality well to the reality built by the filmmaker
