Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara body image dengan self-efficacy. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswi tahun pertama Universitas Brawijaya. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 377 mahasiswi. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara body image dengan self-efficacy pada mahasiswi baru. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini adalah skala body image(r=0,920)dan skala self-efficacy(r=0,899).Hasil peneltian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara body image dan selfefficacy. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil analisis korelasi sebesar 0,423 dan p = 0,000 (p<0,05).

English Abstract

This study aimed to know is there a correlation between body image and selfefficacy. This research is quantitive approach to the type of correlational research. Population in this study is first year college student of Brawijaya University. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Total subjects in this study were 377 women student. The hypotesis in this research is there is a correlation between body image and self-efficacy on first year college student. This study used body image scale (r=0,920) and self-efficacy scale (r=0,899). The results showed that there is a correlation between body image and self-efficacy with correlation value of 0,423 and p=0,000 (p<0,05)
