Rahma, Luluk Fathia (2017) Hubungan Antara Body Condition Score (BCS) Pada Awal Laktasi Terhadap Produksi Susu Dan Konsumsi Pakan Sapi Perah Peranakan Friesian Holstein (PFH). Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between BCS in early lactation to milk production and feed consumption of dairy cattle. The material used for this research were 57 dairy cattles that lactating in 1-4 months. Method in this research was direct survey to the farm. Primary data collection by determined the value of BCS, measurement of milk production and calculation of feed consumption. Data obtained were analyzed by used correlation analysis and continued by regression analysis. The results of researh indicate that there was a positive relationship between BCS with milk production and feed consumption. The highest milk dairy cattle on the value of BCS 3 equal to 18.30 ± 4.66 liter/head /day and consumption of forage feed and concentrate were 18,2 kg/head/day. The conclusion of this research was ideal body condition in dairy cattle with BCS value of 3 was necessary to get maximum milk production and improve feed consumption.
