Abstract

Locus of control sebagai bagian evaluasi diri individu dalam menghadapi sebuah kejadian menjadi sangat penting dalam menghadapi interview kerja, terutama pada fresh graduate yang berkompetisi memenangkan persaingan dalam dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan locus of control beserta dimensinya (faktor internalisasi, external powerfull other, dan external chance) pada fresh graduate Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian komparatif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 296 orang yang diambil dengan menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Dimana setiap kelompok memiliki sampel proporsi sesuai populasi masing-masing. Alat ukur yang digunakandalam pengumpulan data penelitian adalah skala Locus of Control (IPC) milik Levenson (1981) , lalu digunakan dalam penelitian yang dilakukan oleh AS Alves & MHBM Lopes (2010), dan telah diterjemahkan dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Isti (2013). Dengan menggunakan uji hipotesis one way annova, didapatkan hasil bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan external powerfull other, namun terdapat perbedaan faktor internalisasi dan external chance dalam menghadapi interview kerja pada fresh graduate Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Brawijaya.

English Abstract

Locus of control, as a part of individual evaluation in facing an occurence is becoming essential in dealing with job interview, especially on fresh graduate who are competing in the working world. The significance of study was to obtain the difference of locus of control and its dimensions (internal, external powerfull other, and external chance) on fresh graduate of Social and Political Science faculty of Brawijaya University. This study is a comparrative study involving 296 persons total of sample taken by using proportionate stratified random sampling. Each group has its sample of proportion consistent to its population respectively. The instrument used to collect the data is Locus of Control (IPC) scale by Levenson (1981), then used in the study carried out by AS Alves & MHBM Lopes (2010), and which formerly adapted by Isti (2013). By conducting one way Annova hypothesis testing, it was obtained that there is no external powerfull difference other , however, there is differences in internal and external chance in facing job interview chance on a fresh graduate of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Brawijaya University.
