Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tabung secondary preheating atau tanpa penggunaan tabung secondary preheating pada Kompor Biomassa UB serta level efisiensi termal secara keseluruhan. Metode yang digunakan untuk penentuan efisiensi adalah water boiling method dengan variasi volume air 10, 7, dan 5 liter. Bahan bakar yang digunakan adalah biomassa kayu kopi . Kayu kopi memiliki nilai kalor sebesar 3906,91 kal/gram. Pembakaran dari potongan kayu kopi dapat di manfaatkan selama 2 jam lebih untuk memasak menggunakan Kompor Biomassa UB. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh nilai efisiensi overall sebesar 45,07%- 48,80% untuk volume 10 liter, 39,70% – 45,45% untuk volume 7 liter, dan 29,13%– 37,77% volume 5 liter.
English Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the effect of using secondary preheating tube or without the use of secondary preheating tube in UB Biomass Stove and overall thermal efficiency level. The method used to determine the efficiency is water boiling method with the variation of the water 10, 7, and 5 liters of volume. The fuel used is coffee wood biomass. Coffee wood has a calorific value of 3906.91 cal/gram. The combustion process of the pieces of coffe wood takes as 2 hours for cooking using UB biomass stoves. From the testing results obtained the overall efficiency value of 45.07%- 48.80% for 10 liters of volume, 39.70%- 45.45% for 7 liters of volume, and 29.13%- 37.77% for 5 liters of volume.
