Abstract

Pengharum ruangan merupakan salah satu penyumbang polusi udara pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Kandungan yang terdapat pada pengharum ruangan menyebabkan radikal bebas dalam tubuh. Chlorofluoroclorin (cfc) masuk ke dalam tubuh melalui pernafasan dan mengganggu organ paru-paru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti tentang hubungan pemberian antioksidan jamamatotaya terhadap organ paru-paru mencit yang terpapar radikal bebas dari pengharum ruangan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memasukkan mencit ke dalam chamber dan disemprot pengharum ruangan selama 20 menit. Kemudian mencit diberikan antioksidan jamamatotaya. Setelah penelitian selesai dibuat preparat dan diamati kerusakannya dengan perbesaran 400x. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan presentase kerusakan dsa sebelum diberi antioksidan sebesar 41,96% dan setelah diberikan antioksidan sebesar 4,15% sedangkan presentase kerusakan emfisema menurun dari 60,56% menjadi 3,15% . Hal ini menunjukkan jika pengharum ruangan dapat merusak organ paru-paru dan pemberian antioksidan jamamatotaya dapat menurunkan presentase kerusakan organ paru-paru mencit dikarenakan jamamatotaya mengandung senyawa Flavonoid.

English Abstract

The air freshener is one from many contributions of air pollution in daily life. It contains something that can cause free radicals into human body. Cholorofluoroclorin (CFC) hit our body through our respiratory and disrupt the lungs, causing lungs disorder. This research aims to discuss the correlation of given jamamatotaya antioxidant to mouse that is exposed to free radicals caused by air freshener. The research was done by putting the mouse inside a chamber that has been sprayed by air freshener for approximately 20 minutes. After that, the mouse was given the jamamatotaya antioxidant. After the research was done, object and observation was done in 400x magnification. The result shows the decreased percentage of damaged dsa before given antioxidant was 41,69% and after given antioxidant was 41,5%, meanwhile the percentage of damaged emphysema decreased from 60,35% to 3,15%. This indicates that air freshener can cause damage to the lungs and by giving jamamatotaya antioxidant can reduce lungs disorders in mouse because jamamatotaya contains Flavanoid.
