Abstract
Amerika Serikat merupakan salah satu negara yang gencar memberikan bantuan luar negeri ke berbagai negara lain. Bantuan luar negeri Amerika Serikat dikelola oleh lembaga yang bernama United States Agency for International Development(USAID).Indonesia termasuk negara penerima bantuan Amerika Serikat lewat USAID. Salah satu bantuan Amerika Serikat melalui USAID adalah program Indonesia Marine and Climate Support (IMACS). Program ini dilaksanakan untuk memulihkan dan meningkatkan produktivitas ekosistem, keanekaragaman hayati, ketahanan pangan, keamanan ekonomi, dan meningkatkan ketahanan ekosistem laut dan masyarakat pesisir untuk beradaptasi dengan perubahan iklim dan mengurangi resiko dari bencana yang timbul. Penelitian ini dibuat untuk menganalisis motif pemberian bantuan Amerika Serikat terhadap Indonesia melalui program USAID-IMACS pada tahun 2010 sehingga dapat diketahui motif dibalik alokasi bantual luar negeri tersebut.
English Abstract
The United States is one of the countries that intensively provide foreign aid to other countries. United States foreign assistance is administered by an agency called United States Agency for International Development (USAID).Indonesia is a recipient of the United States foreign aid through USAID. One of the United States aid through USAID is the Indonesia Marine and Climate Support (IMACS) program. The program is designed to restore and enhance ecosystem productivity, biodiversity, food security, economic security, and enhance the resilience of marine ecosystems and coastal communities to adapt to climate change and reduce the risk of catastrophic disasters. This researchis to analyze the motive of US foreign aid to Indonesia through the USAID-IMACS program in 2010 so that it can be seen the motive behind the foreign aid allocation.
