Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan yang antara Celebrity Worship dengan Body Image remaja putri fans K-pop. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah penedekatan kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian ini sebanyak 100 orang yaitu pengunjung acara SBSQUAD COVER DANCE CONCERT 2017 di Malang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel nonprobability sampling. Skala celebrity worship dibuat sendiri oleh peneliti yang berdasakan dari Celebrity Attitude Scale yang dikembangkan oleh McCutcheon (Maltby dkk, 2003) dan skala Body Image menggunakan skala dari penelitian sebelumnya, yaitu dari skala Sari (2009) yang berdasarkan pada Multidimensional Body Self Relation Questionnare- Appearance Scales (MBSRQ-AS) yang dikemukakan oleh Cash dkk (Seawell & Danorf-Burg, 2005) yang telah di uji coba terlebih dahulu. Metode analisis data menggunakan teknik product moment pearson. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar r = 0.313 dan p = 0.002 yang berarti ada hubungan yang antara Celebrity Worship dengan Body Image remaja putri fans K-pop.

English Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of Celebrity Worship with Body Image adolescent girl K-pop fans. The research methodology used is quantitative approach. The subject of this research is 100 people that is the visitor of SBSQUAD COVER DANCE CONCERT 2017 event in Malang with nonprobability sampling sampling technique. The Celebrity Attitude Scale scale developed by McCutcheon (Maltby et al, 2003) and Body Image scale using the scale from previous research, that is from Sari scale (2009) based on Multidimensional Body Self Relation Questionnare- Appearance Scales (MBSRQ-AS) proposed by Cash et al (Seawell & Danorf-Burg, 2005) that have been tested first. Data analysis method using product moment pearson technique. Based on the results of data analysis obtained correlation coefficient value of r = 0.313 and p = 0.002 which means there is a relationship between Celebrity Worship with Body Image adoloscent girl K-pop fans.
