Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui performa reproduksi sapi peranakan Limousin dan sapi Peranakan Simental di Kecamatan Cermee Kabupaten Bondowoso. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sapi Peranakan Limousin dan sapi Peranakan Simental pada paritas 2 dan paritas 3 yang masing-masing sebanyak 30 ekor ternak. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan pengambilan data primer dan sekunder. Variabel yang diamati adalah Service per Conception, Conception Rate, Calving Interval, dan Days Open. Data di analisis dengan metode Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai S/C, CR, CI dan DO dari sapi Peranakan Limousin paritas 2 dan paritas 3 masing-masing sebesar ( S/C 1,3±0,46 kali dan 1,13±0,34 kali ; CR 70 % dan 87%; 385,6±16,14 hari dan 375,4±8,26 hari; DO 103,67±11,21 hari dan 99,9±7,09 hari) sedangkan sapi Peranakan Simental pada paritas 2 dan 3 masing-masing adalah (S/C 1,33±0,54 kali dan 1,26±0,44 kali; CR 70% dan 73%; CI 397±16,55 hari dan 398,26±11,20 hari DO 119±12.11 days and 114.36±10 days). Disimpulkan bahwa performa reproduksi sapi Peranakan Limousin dan sapi Peranakan Simental pada paritas 2 dan 3 dilihat dari nilai S/C dan CR pada masing-masing ternak ideal, tetapi nilai CI dan DO masih tergolong panjang. Peternak lebih cermat dalam mendeteksi berahi terutama 85 hari setelah melahirkan.
English Abstract
The purpose of this research was to determine the reproduction performance of Limousin and Simental crossbreed cattle in Cermee District, Bondowoso Regency. The materials used in this research were Limousin crossbreed and Simental crossbreed cattle of second parity and third parity. There were 30 cattle for each parity. The used were of primary and secondary data. The variables observed were Service per Conception (S/C), Conception Rate (C/R), Calving Interval (CI) and Days Open (DO) data analyzed using a chi square method. The results showed that the average of S/C, CR, CI and DO of Limousin crossbred cattle in 2nd and 3rd parity amounted around (S/C 1.3±0.46 times and 1.13±0.34 times ; CR 70 % and 87%; 385.6±16.14 days and 375.4±8.26 days; DO 103.67±11.21 days and 99.9±7.09 days), Respectively Simental crossbreed cattle of 2 and 3 parity ( S/C 1.33±0.54 times and 1.26±0.44 times; CR 70% and 73%; CI 397±16.55 days and 398.26±11.20 days and then DO 119±12.11 days and 114.36±10 days). Respectively it was concluded that there was a reproduction performance of Limousin and Simental Crossbreed cattle of 2nd and 3rd parities ideal S/C, CR values, CI and DO values were still relatively long. Therefore, a breeders suggested for more careful to estrus detection especially on the 85th after born.
