Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara mental skill dengan peak performance pada atlet renang kota Malang.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif korelasional.Koefisien korelasi yang digunakan yaitu Product Moment Pearsondihitung dengan bantuan SPSS 22.0 for windows. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 58 atlet renang Malang yang akan mengikuti kompetisi. Data diperoleh dari 2 alat ukur yaitu skala Mental Skill dan skala Peak Performance. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (p) sebesar 0,000 dan koefisien korelasi Product Moment Pearson (r) sebesar 0,620. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara mental skill denganpeak performance pada atlet renang Malang.Artinya semakin tinggi mental skill maka akan semakin tinggi atlet renang Malang dapat mencapai peak performance.
English Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between mental skill with peak performanc Malang swimming athlete. The method used in this research is quantitative method. The correlation coefficient in this research is Product Moment Pearson calculated with SPSS 22.0 for windows. This study was conducted on 58 Malang swimmer who will follow the competition. Data obtained from 2 measuring tools that is Mental Skill scale and Peak Performance scale. The results of analysis show the significance value (p) of 0.000 and Product Moment Pearson (r) correlation coefficient of 0.620. Based on the results of this study showed that there is a significant positive relationship between mental skill with peak performance in Malang swimmer. This means that the higher the mental skills will be higher the Malang swimmer can reach peak performance.
