Abstract
Penelitian ini berfokus pada strategi pemenangan yang digunakan oleh pasangan Neni M dan Basri Rase dalam pemilukada di Kota Bontang pada tahun 2015. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pemenangan yang digunakan oleh pasangan Neni M dan Basri Rase dalam kampanye pemilukada tahun 2015, dengan menggunakan teori strategi politik yang dimiliki oleh Peter Schroder. Teori strategi politik tersebut terdiri dari strategi ofensif dan strategi defensif. Peneliti menggunakan tiga metode penelitian dalam pengumpulan data, yaitu: metode observasi, metode wawancara dan metode dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) strategi ofensif meliputi menjalin kedekatan melalui kampanye blusukkan, menggali potensi masyarakat dengan gagasan pembaharuan, menarik kelompok masyarakat sebagai pemilih potensial, optimalisasi jaringan tim pemenangan NeBas dan pengaruh sosok Sofyan Hasdam (2) strategi defensif meliputi mempengaruhi massa melalui program lanjutan dan optimalisasi kelemahan pasangan petahana. Strategi yang digunakan cenderung pada strategi ofensif yakni dengan mengotimalkan jaringan dan kerja tim pemenangan serta pengaruh sosok Sofyan Hasdam selaku suami sekaligus mantan walikota Bontang selama 10 tahun.
English Abstract
The research focused on the winning strategy applied by the running mates of Neni M and Basri Rase in the local election in Bontang city in 2015. The research type used was descriptive qualitative. The objective of the research was to discover the winning strategy applied by the running mates of Neni M and Basri Rase in local election in 2015, by using political strategy theory of Peter Schroder. The theory consisted of offensive and defensive strategies. The researcher used three research methods for the data collection, namely, observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis result showed that (1) the offensive strategy included making a close relationship through impromptu visit campaign, discovering community potential with reform concept, collect community group as potential voters, optimizing NeBas’ winning team network and Sofyan Hasdam’s influence (2) the defensive strategy included influencing the people through advanced program and optimizing the weakness of incumbent running mate. The strategy applied tended to be offensive strategy that was, optimizing the network and the winning teamwork as well as Sofyan Hasdam’s influence as Neni M’s husband and the former Bontang Mayor for 10 years.
