Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang hubunganan taramotivasi berprestasi dengan tingkat prokrastinasi dalam menyelesaikan skripsi pada mahasiswa. Realitas sosial berupa rendahnya motivasi berprestasi pada mahasiswa dapat menimbulkan masalah sosial seperti melakukan prokrastinasi dalam menyelesaikan skripsinya. Pada gilirannya kondisi ini dapat mengakibatkan mahasiswa tersebut mengalami keterlambatan waktu dalam menyelesaikan studinya di perguruan tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis hubungan antaramotivasi berprestasi dengan tingkat prokrastinasi dalam menyelesaikan skripsi pada mahasiswa. Sebagaian alisis peneliti menggunakan teori Motivasi Berprestasi (Achievement Motivation) yang dikemukakanoleh David McClelland. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis eksplanatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 93 mahasiswa FISIP Universitas Brawijaya yang sedangmenyelesaikanskripsi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Pengujian analisis data menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, analisis data dankorelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh koefisien korelasi Spearman (R) sebesar -0,463 dengan nilai signifikansi (p) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang menunjukkan ada hubungan negatif dan signifikan antara motivasi berprestasi dengan tingkat prokrastinasi (Y) dalam menyelesaikan skripsi pada mahasiswadengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 46,3%. Sisanya sebesar 53,6% (100% - 46,3% ) berhubungan dengan variabel lainnya di luar motivasi berprestasi. Hasil ini berarti motivasi berprestasi yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa memiliki kekuatan hubungan yang sedang (cukupkuat) dengan tingkat prokrastinasi yang dilakukan dalam rangka menyelesaikan skripsinya. Adanya hubungan yang signifikan berarti bahwa motivasi berprestasi memiliki hubungan yang cukup kuat dengan tingkat prokrastinasi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan skripsi.
English Abstract
This research examines the relationship between achievement motivation with the procrastination level in completing the undergraduate thesis on the students. Social reality in form of low achievement motivation in students can cause social problems like doing procrastination in completing their undergraduate thesis. In turn, this condition may cause the student delays in completing his / her studies in college. The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the relationship between achievement motivation with the procrastination level in completing the undergraduate thesis on the students. As an analysis, the researcher is using the theory of Achievement Motivation proposed by David McClelland. The method in this research is explanative type with quantitative approach. The number of samples in this research are 93 students of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Brawijaya who are completing thesis. Data collection techniques used in this research are questionnaires and documentation. Testing data analysis using validity test, reliability, data analysis and Spearman correlation. The result of this research obtained Spearman correlation coefficient (R) of -0,463 with a significance value (p) of 0,000 < 0,05 indicating there is a negative and significant relationship between achievement motivation with the level of procrastination (Y) in completing the undergraduate thesis on students with correlation coefficient of 46,3%. The remaining 53,6% (100% - 46,3%) is associated with other variables beyond achievement motivation. This result means that the achievement motivation possessed by the students has an average relationship strength (strong enough) with the procrastination level that done in order to complete the undergraduate thesis. The existence of a significant relationship means that achievement motivation has a strong enough relationship with the students procrastination level in completing the undergraduate thesis.
