Abstract
Sejak merdeka, Georgia telah mengalami konflik dengan negara-negara sekitarnya. Konflik juga terjadi di dalam ruang lingkup domestik Georgia, yaitu adanya wilayah yang ingin membebaskan diri dari Georgia, yaitu Ossetia Selatan dan Abkhazia. Pada tahun 2008, Georgia terlibat konflik dengan Rusia diakibatkan oleh kebijakan presiden Georgia yang bertentangan dengan hak-hak Ossetia Selatan. NATO pun masuk ke dalam konflik dengan membantu Georgia, dengan tujuan untuk menerapkan collective security. Penulis pun menganalisis motif masuknya NATO ke dalam konflik berdasarkan konsep Collective Security milik Inis L. Claude Jr.
English Abstract
After their declaration, Georgia has involved in conflicts with their neighbour countries. Conflict also occured in the domestic scale in Georgia, when two regions, Abkhazia and South Ossetia tried to freed themselves from Georgia. In 2008, Georgia had a conflict with Russia, because the president of Georgia made a policy that went against the right of the two regions. NATO involved in this conflict by giving a help to Georgia, with creating a collective security in as their purpose. Writer will analyze NATO’s motives with Collective Security concept by Inis L. Claude Jr.
