Abstract
Manajemen laktasi adalah bentuk upaya dari ibu untuk menunjang keberhasilan menyusui dari mulai proses kehamilan sampai masa menyusui dengan cara pemberian ASI yang baik dan benar. Media website dan media booklet merupakan media yang efisien untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan ibu menyusui tentang manajemen laktasi melalui edukasi gizi dengan website dan booklet di Kota Malang. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasy experimental study dengan preintervention dan postintervention. Jumlah sampel adalah 49 responden yang diambil di seluruh kecamatan dengan purposive sampling. Sehingga sampel tersebut sudah mewakili populasi ibu menyusui yang ada di Kota Malang. Variabel yang diteliti adalah tingkat pengetahuan ibu menyusui pada kelompok website dan kelompok booklet berdasarkan nilai pre-test, nilai post-test 1, dan nilai post-test 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan responden tentang manajemen laktasi antara sebelum dan sesudah edukasi gizi melalui media website (dari 71,4 ke 85,7; p= 0,001) dan melalui media booklet (dari 57,1 ke 100; p= 0,001). Akan tetapi, tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan pengetahuan antara kedua kelompok. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan media website dan booklet sama-sama dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang manajemen laktasi pada ibu menyusui. Media website dapat menjadi alternatif untuk dijadikan media edukasi yang berpotensial dilihat dari jangkauan informasi yang diperoleh lebih luas sehingga dapat meningkatkan dan memperluas pengetahuan.
English Abstract
Lactation management is a form of mothers’ efforts to bolster the success of breastfeeding from pregnancy to begin the process of lactation through good and appropriate breast feeding. Website and booklet media are efficient media to increase knowledge. The purpose of this research is to know the difference between nursing mothers’ knowledge level of lactation management through education of nutrition using website and booklet in Malang city. The design used in this study is quasy experimental study with pre-intervention and postintervention. The number of samples is 49 respondents taken in purposive sampling from the entire sub-district. So the samples have represented population of nursing mothers in Malang city. The variable examined is the knowledge level of nursing mothers on the website and booklet groups based on pre-test value, post- test 1 value, and post-test 2 value. The results show that there is an increase in the knowledge of respondents about lactation management between before and after nutrition education through the medium of a website (from 71.4 to 85.7; p = 0.001) and through the booklet medium (from 100 to 57.1; p = 0.001). However, there is no differenceincrease in knowledge between the two groups. The conclusion of this research is that using either website and booklet medium can increase knowledge about the lactation management in nursing mothers. Website medium can be an alternative to be used as a potential educational medium seen from the coverage of the information obtained which is broader so as to improve and extend knowledge.
