Abstract

Karet ikut berperan penting dalam menyumbangkan pendapatan devisa, kesempatan kerja, dan penyedia bahan baku industri. Salah satu perusahaan yang mengolah karet adalah Perseroan Terbatas Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) XII terletak di desa Tretes Jagir Kecamatan Sine Kota Ngawi Provinsi Jawa Timur. Peningkatan industri karet di Indonesia berbanding lurus dengan kerusakan lingkungan yang terjadi pada saat ini. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan peningkatan produktivitas industri yang berbasis keramahan lingkungan yaitu green productivity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat produktivitas dan upaya peningkatan produktivitas dengan mempertimbangakan indikator kinerja lingkungan di PTPN XII Tretes Ngawi. Metode yang digunakan berupa pendekatan green productivity dengan menggunakan nilai Environmental Performance Indicator (EPI) berdasarkan hasil kuesioner yang diisi oleh 2 responden pakar, yaitu seorang akademisi dan Kepala Laboratorium Pengolahan Limbah di PT Mustika Sembuluh . Green productivity merupakan strategi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan mengurangi dampak negatif dari permasalahan lingkungan. EPI merupakan tolok ukur kinerja lingkungan dari suatu perusahaan. Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) digunakan untuk memilih beberapa alternatif solusi perbaikan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan kinerja lingkungan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, alternatif yang dipilih yaitu Multi Soil Layering (MSL) yang dapat menghemat biaya sebesar Rp. 253.651.626,2 per tahun atau penghematan air sebanyak 70%. Alternatif ini dapat meningkatkan produktivitas sebesar 11,12% yaitu dari 76,13% menjadi 85,25% dan meningkatkan nilai EPI sebesar 0,9631 yaitu dari 0,0029 menjadi 0,966. Pengujian prototipe Multi Soil Layering (MSL) dan hasil air olahan perlu dilakukan untuk memastikan zat yang terkandung pada air olahan.

English Abstract

Rubber has important role in contributing foreign exchange earnings, giving employment opportunities end being provider of industrial raw materials. One of the companies that process rubber is PTPN XII, located in Tretes Jagir Villiage, Sine District, Ngawi, East Java. The increase of rubber industry in Indonesia is linier to the environmental damage that occurs nowadays. Therefore, it is necessary to increase environmental friendly productivity called green productivity. This study aimed to determine the factors that affect productivity levels and efforts to increase productivity by considering environmental performance indicators in PTPN XII Tretes Ngawi. Green productivity approach was used on Environmental Performance Indicator (EPI. Green productivity was a strategy to increase productivity and reduce the negative impact of environmental problems. EPI was a benchmark of environmental performance of a company. Respondents of this study were 2 expert, i.e academician and Head of Waste Treatment Laboratory in PT Mustika Sembuluh. Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) was used to select several solutions to improve productivity and environmental performance. Based on the result of the research, the selected alternative contribution of Multi Soil Layering (MSL) could save the cost of Rp. 253,651,626.2 per year or 70% water savings. This alternative could increase productivity by 11,12% which was from 76,13% to 85,25% and increased value of EPI equal to 0,9631 which was from 0,0029 to 0,966. Multi Soil Layering (MSL) prototypes and processed water products required to be tested to ensure substances contained in processed water.
