Abstract

PT. Indolakto Factory Pandaan merupakan Industri yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan susu yang mengelola susu segar menjadi produk susu sterililisasi dengan merek Indomilk. Tahap-tahap proses produksi antara lain penerimaan bahan baku, pemanasan I, standarisasi dan pencampuran I, pemanasan II, pencampuran II, filtrasi, homogenisasi, pasteurisasi, pendinginan (chilling), aging, filling, sealing, sterilisasi, cooling, labelling, coding, dan cartoning. Proses produksi berlangsung secara kontinyu dengan kapasitas 15.274 karton per hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni mengetahui kualitas air limbah yang dihasilkan pada IPAL PT. Indolakto, mengevaluasi kondisi eksisting IPAL PT. Indolakto, dan menghitung efisiensi removal masing-masing unit dan efisiensi total IPAL PT. Indolakto. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis yang dilakukan yakni meliputi debit air limbah, karakteristik limbah dengan beberapa parameter (TSS, pH, BOD, dan COD), efisiensi removal tiap unit dan efisiensi total IPAL, serta mengevaluasi kinerja masing-masing unit. Hasil dari penelitian yakni karakteristik inlet IPAL Indolakto yang didapat dari rata-rata pengukuran langsung dan data perusahaan yakni untuk TSS sebesar 394,8, BOD sebesar 557,86, COD sebesar 2040,4, dan pH sebesar 6,92. Karakteristik outlet IPAL PT Indolakto yakni untuk TSS sebesar 21,87, BOD sebesar 14,57, COD sebesae 21,16, dan pH sebesar 7,5. Efisiensi removal total IPAL PT Indolakto terbilang sangat efisien dimana untuk penghilangan kadar parameter sudah diatas 80% dengan presentase removal TSS sebesar 94,46%, BOD 97,39%, dan COD 98,96%. Secara keseluruhan kinerja IPAL masih baik. Namun terdapat beberapa parameter yang tidak sesuai dengan kriteria yang ada.

English Abstract

PT. Indolakto Factory Pandaan is an industry engaged in the processing of milk that manages fresh milk into dairy products sterililisasi with Indomilk brand. Stages of the production process include the acceptance of raw materials, heating I, standardization and mixing I, heating II, mixing II, filtration, homogenization, pasteurization, chilling, aging, filling, sealing, sterilization, cooling, labeling, coding, And cartoning. The production process is continuous with capacity of 15,274 cartons per day. The purpose of this research is to know the quality of waste water generated at IPAL PT. Indolakto, evaluating the existing condition of IPAL PT. Indolakto, and calculate the efficiency of each unit's removal and the total efficiency of IPAL PT. Indolakto. Research method used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative approach. The analyzes include waste water discharge, waste characteristics with several parameters (TSS, pH, BOD, and COD), the efficiency of each unit removal and the total efficiency of WWTP, as well as evaluating the performance of each unit. The result of research is the characteristics of IPAL Indolakto inlet obtained from the average of direct measurement and company data ie for TSS 394,8, BOD equal to 557,86, COD equal to 2040,4, and pH equal to 6,92. Characteristics of PT Indolakto's IPAL outlet is for TSS of 21.87, BOD of 14.57, COD sebesae 21.16, and pH of 7.5. The total IPAL removal efficiency of PT Indolakto is very efficient where for parameter removal ix above 80% with TSS removal percentage of 94,46%, BOD 97,39%, and COD 98,96%. Overall IPAL performance is still good. But there are some parameters that do not match the existing criteria.
