Abstract

Pemimpin dalam perusahaan bukan hanya dapat melihat potensi dari para pegawai, melainkan juga harus memikirkan kebutuhan dari pekerja. Dengan demikian, diharapkan pemimpin dapat memberikan kebutuhan, salah satunya berupa kenyamanan kerja untuk para pekerja. Berdasarkan data yang diambil dari Perusahaan Pembuatan Obat yang berada di Lawang ini, lingkungan kerja fisik dari segi pencahayaan, temperatur, dan kelembaban masih belum sesuai standar kementrian kesehatan maupun Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Kesalahan pada perancangan peralatan di ruang kerja akan menyebabkan risiko terjadinya cedera pada pekerja. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan penilaian terhadap postur kerja karyawan, sehingga ruang kerja dan pekerjaan yang dilakukan dapat menyesuiakan pekerjanya (fit tasks to the man). Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, maka diperlukan evaluasi ruang kerja secara ergonomi untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor bermasalah yang ada dengan menggunakan metode Office Ergonomics Workstation Assessment serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan pada permasalahan yang ada. Evaluasi ruang kerja menggunakan metode Office Ergonomics Workstation Assessment mengacu pada 5 aspek yang berpengaruh saat bekerja, antara lain job tasks, chair, worksurface, computer and office equipment, dan environmental factors. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 12 pekerja di 12 divisi, yaitu divisi produksi, quality assurance, PPIC, research and development, purchasing, IT, document control, quality control, general affair, accounting, HRD, dan marketing. Langkah pertama yang dilakukan adalah mendapatkan informasi umum seputar pekerjaan. Setelah itu, melakukan identifikasi pada 5 aspek yang berpengaruh saat bekerja. Hasil dari identifikasi dan pengamatan disimpulkan, kemudian permasalahan diurutkan dari yang memiliki jumlah permasalahan terbesar sampai permasalahan dengan jumlah terkecil. Permasalahan dengan jumlah terbesar dijadikan prioritas untuk pemberian rekomendasi perbaikan. Hasil dari evaluasi ruang kerja adalah terdapat permasalahan kursi pada 9 divisi, worksurface 5 divisi, ventilasi dan temperatur 4 divisi, pencahayaan 3 divisi, dan kelembaban 1 divisi. Rekomendasi yang diberikan adalah memperbaiki kursi dan fasilitas kerja, mengganti tipe worksurface dengan tipe L-shaped sesuai dengan jenis pekerjaan pekerja, membuat ventilasi buatan sesuai dengan spesifikasi ruangan, mengganti lampu sesuai dengan perhitungan daya yang telah diberikan, dan memberikan tirai dengan warna gelap serta mengubah posisi kerja sejajar dengan jendela untuk divisi yang merasa terganggu oleh silau dari sinar matahari. Manfaat yang didapat dari penggunaan metode Office Ergonomics Workstation Assessment adalah mengetahui permasalahan yang terdapat pada ruang kerja sehingga dapat dilakukan perbaikan. Perbaikan yang dilakukan dapat memberikan kenyamanan yang sesuai dengan kondisi pekerja, serta dapat mengurangi tingkat risiko cedera pada pekerja.

English Abstract

A leader in a company is not just about seeing the potentials of the employees, but also has to think about the needs of the employees. Therefore, a leader is expected to give the needs, such as work comfortability for the employees. According to the data that take from Drugs Manufacturer Company in Lawang, physical work space from the terms of lighting, temperature, and humidity still not in accordance with the standards from the minister of health or Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The errors on equipment designs in the office will cause the risk of injury to the workers. However, it is needed an assessment to the work postures of employees, so the office spaces and the jobs which are done by workers can fit with the workers (fit tasks to the man). Based on the problems, ergonomic workspace evaluation is needed to identify problematic factors that exist by using Office Ergonomics Workstation Assessment method and give recommendations for improvement on the existing problems. Workspace evaluation using Office Ergonomics Workstation Assessment refers to 5 aspects which take effects while working, there are job tasks, chair, worksurface, computer and office equipment, and environmental factors. Observations were made on 12 workers in 12 divisions, which are production division, quality assurance, PPIC, research and development, purchasing, IT, document control, quality control, general affair, accounting, HRD, and marketing. The first step is getting the general information about the jobs. The results of identification and observation are concluded, then the problems were sorted from the largest amount of problems to the smallest amount of problems. The largest amount of problems is being prioritized to give the recommendations for improvement. Based on workspace evaluation there are seat problems in 9 divisions, worksurfaces in 5 divisions, ventilations and temperatures in 4 divisions, lighting in 3 divisions, and humidity in 1 division. The recommendations which are given to the problems are improvements on chairs and work facilities, changing the worsurface type with L-shaped type based on the kind of worker’s job, making custom ventilations that fit on the specification of the room, changing the lamps based on the calculation of power that had been recommended, and giving a curtain with dark color and changing the work position parallel to the window for the division which are distracted with the glare of sun. The benefits from Office Ergonomics Workstation Assessment are to determine the problems which are found in work spaces, so it can be improved. The improvements could give accordance comfort with worker condition and it can reduce the level of injury risk on workers.
