Abstract
Tema merupakan salah satu sarana sastra yang utama. Melalui tema, cerita dapat lebih fokus, menyatu, mengerucut, dan memiliki dampak. Dalam kaitannya dengan penelitian ini, analisis tema pada sebuah cerita dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tema seputar sebuah pesantren dalam karya sastra pesantren. Sastra pesantren dimaksud adalah karya sastra yang diciptakan oleh komunitas pesantren, baik itu kiai, santri, atau alumni, dengan tema tentang pesantren dan segala bentuk tradisi dan nilai-nilai religius khas pesantren, bahkan bertema subversif. Karya-karya dimaksud berasal dari PP. Sidogiri, Pasuruan, dan PP. Annuqayah, Sumenep. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Dalam penelitian kualitatif, metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan. Data diambil dari sumber data berupa kumpulan cerpen Majalah Ijtihad, Pesta Perpisahan, Nama Saya adalah Santri, Jurnal Cerpen Komunitas Cinta Nulis Edisi I-VI,dan Sasoma: Kitab puisi dan Cerita dari komunitas Lesehan Sastra Annuqayah. Semua sumber data diterbitkan dalam kurun waktu 2011-2016. Selanjutnya, hal-hal yang berkenaan dengan pesantren sebagai temuan dari penelitian ini adalah tema terepresentasi melalui tiga tokoh komunitas pesantren, yaitu kiai, santri, dan alumni. Selain itu, tema juga didapat melalui peristiwa-peristiwa yang ada di seputar pesantren dalam cerita. Peristiwa dimaksud adalah pendirian sebuah pesantren dan posisi kiai yang berkuasa penuh terhadap santri-santrinya. Terakhir, tema didapat melalui konflik yang dibangun di dalam cerita. Konflik tersebut mencakup tentang perjuangan seorang santri yang telah keluar dari pesantren, hubungan dunia politik dengan sebuah pesantren, dalam hal ini adalah kiai, dan kematian seorang alim memiliki dampak perubahan nilai agama yang luar biasa dalam suatu masyarakat tradisional. Untuk tema yang terakhir ini biasa dikenal dengan istilah Maut al-‘Ālim Maut al-Alam.
English Abstract
The theme is one of the main means of literature. Through the theme, the stories can focus more, blends, conical, and having an impact. In relation to this study, an analysis of the theme in a story is done with the purpose to know the theme revolved around a boarding school in the literary works of boarding. Question is the boarding school literature literary works created by the boarding community, be it a kiai, students, or alumni, with themes about boarding school and any form of tradition and religious values of the typical boarding school, even subversive-themed. The works in question comes from PP. Sidogiri, Pasuruan, and PP. Annuqayah, Sumenep. This type of research is qualitative. In qualitative research, the method used is the research library. The data are taken from the data source in the form of a collection of short stories the Majalah Ijtihad, Pesta Perpisahan , Nama Saya Santri, journal short story Komunitas Cinta Nulis Edition I-VI, and Sasoma: Kitab puisi dan Cerita from Lesehan Literary community Annuqayah. All data sources published within 2011-2016. Things with regard to boarding school as the findings from this research is the theme of the theme through the boarding community figures, namely kiai, students, and alumni. In addition, the themes are also obtainable through events that exist around the boarding school story. The event in question was the establishment of a boarding school and Plenipotentiary kiai position against santri-santrinya. Lastly, the theme gained through conflict built into the story. These include conflicts about the struggles of a student who had been out of the boarding school, the relationship of the political world with a boarding school, in this case it was a kiai, and death of a pious religious values of changes having an impact is remarkable in a society traditionally. For the theme of the latter is commonly known by the term Maut al-‘Ālim Maut al-Alam..
