Abstract
Di dalam film banyak ditemukan ilustrasi dari berbagai konflik dan masalah-masalah pada manusia, dikarenkan film menceritakan tentang kehidupan dan perilaku manusia. Salah satu film yang menggambarkan perihal konflik yang cukup intens di dalam diri karakter adalah film In Secret. Film In Secret menceritakan tentang wanita yang melanggar nilai moral dengan membunuh suaminya agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan seksualnya. Untuk dapat menganalisa kecemasan moral yang dialami oleh pemeran utama penulis menggunakan teori psikoanalisis dari Freud. Penilitian dari studi ini menghasilkan bahwa kecemasan moral sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan Therese sebagai pemeran utam dalam film. Kecemasan moral tersebut disebabkan oleh konflik antara ego dan superegonya yang kemudian menimbulkan dampak takut dan gelisah.
English Abstract
The illustration of various human’s conflicts and problems can be seen on film since it tells a story about human’s life and behavior. One of the films portraying characters intense internal conflicts is In Secret. In Secret tells a story of a sexual repressed woman who find herself in a situation where she broke her moral values by killing her own husband. In order to analyze the main characters psychological problems, namely moral anxiety, psychoanalysis theory is applied. The theory used is Freudian psychoanalysis on anxiety (moral anxiety). The result of this study shows that Therese’s life in the film was solemnly affected by moral anxiety. Therese’s moral anxiety is caused by the conflict between her ego and superego, and causing impacts which are feeling of scared and uneasy.
