Abstract

Pada beberapa cerita pewayangan Togog merupakan salah satu tokoh punakawan yang bertugas untuk mendampingi karakter raksasa dan manusia yang memiliki sifat jahat serta angkara murka, agar dapat kembali ke jalan yang benar. Karakter yang sering di dampingi oleh Togog, antara lain : Kurawa, Rahwana. Dalam novel “Togog Tejamantri Pamong Pembisik Kesejatian” karya Gesta Bayuadhy (tahun 2013). Hal yang diteladani dari filosofi Togog dalam tugasnya sebagai punakawan adalah orang baik juga harus bisa berkumpul dengan orang buruk sehingga dapat mengingatkan satu sama lain agar dapat kembali ke jalan yang benar. Walaupun pada kenyataannya hal itu sangat sulit, namun secara keseluruhan itu merupakan hasil representasi dari sifat kesabaran Togog yang patut diteladani. Metode proses penciptaan karya seni logam ini adalah melalui empat proses tahapan yaitu Ekplorasi, Improvisasi, Pembentukan, dan Finishing. Tahap ekplorasi merupakan tahap awal untuk mencari referensi tentang tema utama yaitu Togog. Pada tahap ini terbagi menjadi dua hal yaitu ekplorasi konsep dan ekplorasi bentuk. Improvisasi tahap dimana penulis memilih sketsa - sketsa yang dianggap baik untuk diaplikasikan terhadap media. Selanjutnya tahap pembentukan pada tahap ini sketsa terpilih dipindah ke media dengan menggunakan spidol dan selanjutnya dibentuk. Tahap terakhir finishing yaitu tahap pebingkaian karya sebelum di pasang. Tema dari penciptaan karya seni logam ini adalah tentang Togog dengan konsep bercerita. Karya logam satu dengan yang lainnya saling berhubungan menjadi satu kesatuan cerita yang hadir dalam tujuh judul karya dalam berbagai ukuran. Media logam yang digunakan adalah logam aluminium dengan ketebalan 0,2mm dengan teknik sodetan dan teknik rancapan untuk mencapai visual relief. Hasil representasi penulis hadir ke dalam tujuh karya rupa logam dengan judul : a. Kelahiran; b. Ketama’an; c.Perubahan; d.Sosok Jahat; e..Amarah Sang Kakak; f. Pulang; g. Pemimpin. Dalam hal ini penulis berharap karya ini dapat menyulut jiwa anak muda untuk dapat melestarikan budaya sendiri dan meneladani sikap positifnya.

English Abstract

In some stories of wayang Togog is one figures of punakawan who served to accompany the giant and humans who have evil and anger, in order to return to the right path. Characters that are often accompanied by Togog, among others: Kurawa, Ravana. According from "Togog Tejamantri Pamong Pembisik Kesejatian" novel by Gesta Bayuadhy (2013). The example of Togog's philosophy in his duty as a punakawan is that good people must be able to gather with bad people so that they can remind each other to get back on the right path. Although in reality it is very difficult, but overall it is the result of a representation of Togog's exemplary patience. The process method of the creation of aluminium artwork is through four stages of the process of Exploration, Improvisation, Formation, and Finishing. The exploration stage is an early stage to find reference to the main theme of Togog. At this stage is divided into two things namely the exploration of concepts and exploration of forms. Improvisation stage where the authors choose best sketches that are considered to be applied to the media. Furthermore, the stage of formation at this stage selected sketches are transferred to the media using a marker and subsequently formed with sudetan technique. The final stage of finishing is framing the artwork before the display. The theme of the creation of this aluminium artwork is about Togog with the concept of storytelling. Every metal works are interconnected into a single unified story that is present in seven titles of work in various sizes. Metal media used is aluminum with a thickness of 0.2 mm with sodetan technique and rancapan technique to achieve visual relief. The results of the representation of the authors present into the seven works of aluminium with the title: A. Kelahiran; B. Ketama'an; C. Perubahan; D. Sosok Jahat; E. Amarah Sang Kakak; F. Pulang; G. Pemimpin. In this case the authors hope this work can ignite the soul of young people to be able to preserve their own culture and applied the positive attitude.
