Abstract

Fusarium sp. merupakan jamur penyebab penyakit layu Fusarium pada beberapa tanaman seperti kubis, pisang, dan tomat. Budidaya tomat di Komunitas Pertanian Organik Brenjonk mengalami permasalahan, yaitu penyakit layu Fusarium yang menyebabkan kelayuan pada tanaman tomat. Pencegahan dan pengendalian penyakit layu Fusarium pada tanaman tomat di Komunitas Pertanian Organik Brenjonk masih sulit dilakukan. Hal ini karena jamur Fusarium termasuk ke dalam patogen tular tanah. Pencegahan dan pengendalian secara biologis melalui pemanfaatan jamur antagonis seperti Trichoderma sp. merupakan cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk meminimalisir serangan jamur Fusarium sp. pada tanaman tomat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan antagonis jamur Trichoderma sp. terhadap jamur Fusarium sp. penyebab penyakit layu Fusarium pada tomat dan mengetahui efektivitas pemberian jamur Trichoderma sp. sebagai bentuk tindakan pencegahan dan pengendalian terhadap serangan penyakit layu Fusarium pada tanaman tomat. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September hingga Desember 2024 dan dilakukan di tiga tempat. Pengambilan sampel Fusarium sp. dan Trichoderma sp. serta uji efektivitas pemberian dilakukan di Komunitas Pertanian Organik Brenjonk. Perbanyakan jamur Trichoderma sp. dan uji antagonis dilakukan di Laboratorium Pengamatan Hama Penyakit Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura (PHPTPH) Pasuruan Jawa Timur. Perbanyakan jamur Fusarium sp. dilakukan di Laboratorium Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan FP UB. Pelaksanaan penelitian meliputi eksplorasi jamur Fusarium sp. dan Trichoderma sp., uji antagonis, perbanyakan jamur Trichoderma sp., perbanyakan jamur Fusarium sp., pemberian Trichoderma sp., dan penyemaian benih, persiapan media tanam, inokulasi Fusarium sp., penanaman, dan pemeliharaan. Variabel pada penelitian yang dilakukan meliputi daya hambat, masa inkubasi (hari), Insidensi Penyakit (%), panjang diskolorasi (cm), panjang akar (cm). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jamur Trichoderma sp. memiliki kemampuan antagonis terhadap jamur Fusarium sp. Jamur Trichoderma sp. dapat menghambat pertumbuhan jamur patogen dengan persentase penghambatan sebesar 65,5% melalui tiga mekanisme penghambatan, yaitu antibiosis, kompetisi, dan parasitisme. Pemberian Trichoderma sp. pada tanaman tomat dapat menghambat dan memperpanjang masa inkubasi jamur patogen ke tanaman tomat. Pemberian Trichoderma sp. sebanyak 10, 15, dan 20 gram / lubang baki semai dapat menekan terjadinya Insindensi Penyakit pada tanaman tomat, menekan terjadinya pemanjangan diskolorasi xilem, dan mendukung pertumbuhan akar tanaman tomat. Trichoderma sp. membutuhkan bantuan dari mikroorganisme lain untuk mempertahankan kemampuan antagonis yang dimilikinya

English Abstract

Fusarium sp. is a fungus that causes Fusarium wilt disease in several plants such as cabbage, bananas, and tomatoes. Tomato cultivation in the Brenjonk Organic Farming Community is experiencing a problem, namely Fusarium wilt disease which causes wilting in tomato plants. Prevention and control of Fusarium wilt disease on tomato plants in the Brenjonk Organic Farming Community is still difficult to do. This is because Fusarium fungi are included in soil-borne pathogens. Prevention and control biologically through the use of antagonistic fungi such as Trichoderma sp. is a way that can be done to minimize the attack of Fusarium sp. on tomato plants. The purpose of this study is to determine the antagonist ability of the fungus Trichoderma sp. against the fungus Fusarium sp. causes of Fusarium wilt disease in tomatoes and to determine the effectiveness of applying Trichoderma sp. as a form of prevention and control against Fusarium wilt attacks on tomato plants. The research was carried out from September to December 2024 and was carried out in three places. Sampling of Fusarium sp. and Trichoderma sp. and the effectiveness test of the grant was carried out at the Brenjonk Organic Farming Community. Propagation of Trichoderma sp. and antagonist tests were carried out at the Food and Horticultural Plant Disease Pest Observation Laboratory (PHPTPH) Pasuruan, East Java. Propagation of Fusarium sp. carried out at the Laboratory of Plant Pests and Diseases FP UB. The implementation of the research includes the exploration of Fusarium sp. and Trichoderma sp., antagonist test, propagation of Trichoderma sp. fungus, propagation of Fusarium sp. fungus, application of Trichoderma sp., and seed seeding, planting media preparation, Fusarium sp. inoculation, planting, and maintenance. The variables in the study included inhibition, incubation period (days), Disease Incidence (%), length of disobedience (cm), length of roots (cm). The results of the study showed that the fungus Trichoderma sp. has antagonistic abilities against Fusarium sp. Trichoderma sp. can inhibit the growth of pathogenic fungi with an inhibition percentage of 65.5% through three inhibition mechanisms, namely antibiotics, competition, and parasitism. Administration of Trichoderma sp. In tomato plants, it can inhibit and prolong the incubation period of pathogenic fungi to tomato plants. Administration of Trichoderma sp. As much as 10, 15, and 20 grams/hole of seedling trays can suppress the occurrence of Disease Incidence in tomato plants, suppress the prolongation of xylem dislodanger, and support the growth of tomato plant roots. Trichoderma sp. needs help from other microorganisms to maintain its antagonistic abilities.
