Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi peserta didik terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Canon berbasis web dalam pembelajaran materi triangle exposure. Pembelajaran fotografi dasar dengan materi triangle exposure sering kali menemui beberapa kendala seperti terbatasnya peralatan yang dimiliki sekolah yaitu kamera sebagai sarana pembelajaran fotografi dasar dan tidak meratanya spesifikasi handphone yang dimiliki peserta didik sehingga spesifikasi kamera yang dimiliki handphone peserta didik berbeda-beda. Untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, hadirlah sebuah aplikasi dari perusahaan Canon untuk memudahkan dalam mempelajari teknik fotografi terutama komposisi triangle exposure baik untuk pemula, umum, pelajar, bahkan profesional tanpa harus memiliki kamera dan hanya bermodalkan handphone dan koneksi internet saja. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas X (sepuluh) Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV) di SMK PGRI 2 Malang dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan mengumpulkan jawaban melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan melalui Google form kepada grup kelas X DKV SMK PGRI 2 Malang yang berjumlah 33 peserta didik dalam teknik pengumpulan datanya. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu statistik deskriptif yang di dalamnya terdapat perhitungan rata-rata (mean) dan standar deviasi dalam bentuk tabel yang hasilnya diolah dalam bentuk persentase. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa persepsi peserta didik terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Canon berbasis web dalam pembelajaran materi triangle exposure kelas X (sepuluh) Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV) SMK PGRI 2 Malang sebesar 90,9% dengan kategori positif dan 9,1% dengan kategori negatif. Penggunaan aplikasi Canon berbasis web ini sangat membantu peserta didik dalam proses praktik pembelajaran fotografi dasar dan mengatasi keterbatasan peralatan yang dimiliki oleh sekolah.

English Abstract

This study aims to determine student’s perception of the use of web-based Canon applications in learning triangle exposure material. Learning basic photography with triangle exposure material often encounters several obstacles such as limited equipment owned by the school, namely cameras as a means of learning basic photography and uneven specifications of mobile phones owned by students so that the camera specifications owned by students are different. To overcome these obstacles, there is an application from the Canon company to make it easier to learn photography techniques, especially triangle exposure composition, both for beginners, the public, students, and even professionals without having to have a camera and only have a mobile phone and an internet connection. This research was conducted in class X (ten) Visual Communication Design (DKV) at SMK PGRI 2 Malang using a quantitative method by collecting answers through questionnaires distributed through google forms to class X group of DKV SMK PGRI 2 Malang which totaled 33 students in the data collection technique. The analysis used is descriptive statistics in which there is a calculation of the mean and standard deviation in the form of a table whose results are processed in the form of percentages. The research that has been conducted shows that students' perception of the use of web-based canon applications in learning triangle exposure material in class X (ten) Visual Communication Design (DKV) SMK PGRI 2 Malang is 90.9% with a positive category and 9.1% with a negative category. The use of this web-based Canon application is very helpful for students in the process of learning basic photography practices and overcoming the limitations of the equipment owned by the school.
