Abstract

Pemberian ASI pada bayi yang dirawat di NICU menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi ibu. Kondisi bayi yang tidak stabil dan perlunya perawatan khusus menyebabkan ketergantungan pada pemompaan ASI untuk dapat memberikan nutrisi. Dalam hal ini, efikasi ibu yang tinggi dapat berperan untuk menghadapi tantangan dalam memberikan ASI pada bayi yang mendapatkan perawatan di ruang NICU. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara efikasi ibu dengan pemberian ASI pada bayi yang dirawat di ruang Neonatal intensive Care Unit (NICU) RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analitik observasional non-eksperimental dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah responden penelitian ini adalah 44 ibu dari bayi di NICU yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale Short Form (BSES-SF) dan kuesioner pemberian ASI. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Spearman Rank melalui software SPSS Statistics 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efikasi kategori tinggi sebanyak 42 responden (95,5%) dan untuk pemberian ASI di NICU sebanyak 42 responden (95,5%). Hasil uji analisis Spearman Rank menunjukkan nilai p-value 0.001 dengan koefisien korelasi 0.476. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan cukup antara efikasi ibu dengan pemberian ASI yang bersifat positif, dimana semakin tinggi efikasi ibu maka semakin tinggi pemberian ASI. Dengan demikian, profesi perawat dapat memberikan penguatan dukungan emosional bagi ibu dan memberikan edukasi mengenai manfaat ASI bagi bayi di NICU serta melakukan evaluasi pemberian ASI, sehingga dapat menjadi dorongan bagi ibu untuk meningkatkan efikasi dirinya dalam pemberian ASI.

English Abstract

Breastfeeding for babies admitted to the NICU is a challenge for mothers. The baby's unstable condition and the need for special care cause dependence on pumping breast milk to be able to provide nutrition. In this case, high maternal efficacy can play a role in facing the challenges of providing breast milk to babies who get treatment in the NICU room. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal efficacy and breastfeeding in infants treated in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) room at Dr. Saiful Anwar East Java Hospital. The research method used was non-experimental observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The number of respondents in this study was 44 mothers of babies in the NICU who were selected based on a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments used were the Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale Short Form (BSES-SF) and the breastfeeding questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test through SPSS Statistics 25 software. The results showed that the level of efficacy in the high category was 42 respondents (95.5%), and for breastfeeding in the NICU was 42 respondents (95.5%). The Spearman Rank analysis test results showed a p-value of 0.001 with a correlation coefficient of 0.476. It can be concluded that there is a moderate relationship between maternal efficacy and breastfeeding which is positive, where the higher the efficacy of the mother, the higher the breastfeeding. Thus, the nursing profession can provide strengthening emotional support for mothers and provide education about the benefits of breast milk for infants in the NICU and evaluate breastfeeding so that it can encourage mothers to increase their self-efficacy in breastfeeding
