Abstract
Pemahaman yang baik terhadap karakteristik pasien dapat membantu perawat dalam menyusun manajemen asuhan keperawatan yang lebih efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik pasien anak menggunakan desain deskriptif berdasarkan data rekam medis pasien anak sejak 04-23 November 2024 di IGD RSUD Bangil Kabupaten Pasuruan Jawa Timur. Variabel yang dianalisis meliputi usia, jenis kelamin, jenis pembayaran, jenis kasus, keluhan utama, diagnosis medis, tingkat triase, waktu kedatangan, jenis transportasi pasien, waktu tunggu (Length of Stay) di IGD, dan tindak lanjut setelah di IGD. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 85 anak. Hasil penelitian analisis univariat menunjukkan karakteristik pasien anak yang berkunjung mayoritas berjenis kelamin laki-laki (60%), anak usia sekolah 6-18 tahun (46%), pembayaran menggunakan JKN (70.6%), kasus mayoritas nontrauma (85.9%), mayoritas keluhan utama demam (40%), diagnosis medis terbanyak adalah Fever of Unknown Origin (34.1%), tingkat triase kuning (98.1%). Waktu kedatangan terbanyak saat shift pagi (37.6%) dengan hampir seluruh pasien anak menggunakan transportasi pribadi (98.8%), waktu tunggu di IGD (Length of Stay) mayoritas >8 jam dengan keputusan rawat inap setelah di IGD (89.4%). Hasil analisis bivariat dengan Chi-Square ditemukan bahwa usia berhubungan signifikan dengan jenis kasus, keluhan utama, tingkat triase, dan tindak lanjut setelah di IGD dan tidak ditemukan hubungan signifikan antara usia dengan jenis pembayaran, diagnosis medis, waktu kedatangan, jenis transportasi dan waktu tunggu (Length of Stay) di IGD. Hasil ujii Chi-Square antara jenis kelamin dengan berbagai variabel lainnya, tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan kebijakan dan peningkatan fasilitas IGD, khususnya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pasien anak secara optimal.
English Abstract
A good understanding of patient characteristics can help nurses in developing more effective nursing care management. This study aims to describe the characteristics of pediatric patients using a descriptive design based on medical record data of pediatric patients from 04-23 November 2024 at the Emergency Room of Bangil Regional Hospital, Pasuruan Regency, East Java. The variables analyzed include age, gender, type of payment, type of case, main complaint, medical diagnosis, triage level, arrival time, type of patient transportation, waiting time (Length of Stay) in the Emergency Room, and follow-up after being in the Emergency Room. The sample in this study consisted of 85 children. The results of the univariate analysis study showed that the characteristics of pediatric patients who visited were mostly male (60%), school-aged children aged 6-18 years (46%), payments using JKN (70.6%), the majority of non-trauma cases (85.9%), the majority of main complaints were fever (40%), the most common medical diagnosis was Fever of Unknown Origin (34.1%), yellow triage level (98.1%). The highest arrival time was during the morning shift (37.6%) with almost all pediatric patients using private transportation (98.8%), the waiting time in the ER (Length of Stay) was mostly >8 hours with the decision to be hospitalized after being in the ER (89.4%). The results of the bivariate analysis with Chi-Square found that age was significantly related to the type of case, main complaint, triage level, and follow-up after being in the ER and there was no significant relationship between age and type of payment, medical diagnosis, arrival time, type of transportation and waiting time (Length of Stay) in the ER. The results of the Chi-Square test between gender and various other variables, no significant relationship was found. The results of this study can be the basis for developing policies and improving ER facilities, especially to optimally meet the needs of pediatric patients.
