Abstract
Salah satu masalah yang terjadi saat ini yaitu sebagian besar pasien diabetes melitus tidak tahu bagaimana mencegah ulkus kaki diabetikum. Pengetahuan tentang cara mencegah ulkus diabetikum sangat penting untuk menghindari komplikasi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis korelasi antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan perilaku pencegahan ulkusidiabetikum. Rancangan penelitian adalah deskriptif korelatif dengan desain studi cross-sectional. Responden penelitian ini terdiri dari 68 penderita DM di Puskesmas Janti Kota Malang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner pengetahuan pencegahan ulkus diabetikum dan kuesioner Notttingham Assessment of Fungtional Footcare (NAFF). Uji hubungan dua variabel menggunakan uji Spearman dengan p-value 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar responden memiliki pengetahuan sedang dan perilaku pencegahan ulkus diabetikum yang baik sebanyak 30 responden (55,6 %). Hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku pencegahan ulkus diabetikum cukup kuat nilai koefisien korelasi 0,304 dan p value 0,012. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku pencegahan ulkus diabetikum di Puskesmas Janti. Dengan demikian profesi perawat dapat memberikan edukasi dan konsultasi sebagai intervensi dini pada penderita DM untuk menghindari ulkus diabetikum
English Abstract
One of the problems currently occurring is that most diabetes mellitus patients do not know how to prevent diabetic foot ulcers. Knowledge about how to prevent diabetic ulcers is very important to avoid these complications. This study aims to analyze the correlation between the level of knowledge and behavior to prevent diabetic ulcers. The research design is descriptive correlative with a crosssectional study design. The respondents for this study consisted of 68 DM sufferers at the Janti Health Center, Malang City. The research instruments used were the diabetic ulcer prevention knowledge questionnaire and the Notttingham Assessment of Functional Footcare (NAFF) questionnaire. Test the relationship between two variables using the Spearman test with a p-value of 0.05. The research results showed that the majority of respondents had moderate knowledge and good behavior in preventing diabetic ulcers, namely 30 respondents (55.6%). The relationship between knowledge and diabetic ulcer prevention behavior is quite strong, with a correlation coefficient of 0.304 and a p value of 0.012. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and behavior in preventing diabetic ulcers at the Janti Community Health Center. In this way, the nursing profession can provide education and consultation as early intervention for DM sufferers to avoid diabetic ulcers
