Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh good corporate governance dengan proksi kepemilikan manajerial, ukuran KAP, dan komite audit terhadap manajemen laba. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode purposive sampling untuk pengambilan sampel. Data sekunder digunakan dengan total sampel sejumlah 55 perusahaan sektor manufaktur yang terdaftar di BEI mulai tahun 2020 sampai 2022. Metode analisis data menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukuran KAP memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap manajemen laba. Kepemilikan manajerial dan komite audit tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap manajemen laba. Studi ini menunjukkan kepada investor dan perusahaan mengenai pentingnya good corporate governance untuk mengurangi tindakan manajemen laba.
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of good corporate governance with managerial ownership, audit firm size, and audit committee as proxies on earnings management. This study uses a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling method for sampling. Secondary data is used with a total sample of 55 manufacturing sector companies listed on the IDX from 2020 to 2022. The data analysis method uses SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that audit firm size has a negative and significant effect on earnings management. Managerial ownership and audit committee have no significant effect on earnings management. This study shows investors and companies about the importance of good corporate governance to reduce earnings management actions.
