Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah keterampilan menulis puisi pada siswa kelas XI DPB WU 3 SMKN 3 Malang masih rendah. Selama ini pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru masih monoton dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan media pembelajaran yang kurang menarik serta kurang inovatif. Pada masa seperti ini siswa memerlukan semangat belajar, karena pembelajaran selama ini dilakukan secara monoton. Keterampilan mengarang puisi siswa ditingkatkan melalui media kumpulan film pendek bertema pahlawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari pembelajaran melalui media kumpulan film pendek bertema pahlawan, keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas XI DPB WU 3 SMKN 3 Malang mengalami peningkatan. Berdasarkan data hasil studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan secera komprehensif, keterampilan menulis puisi siswa mencapai tingkat tuntas sebesar 34,61% dan tingkat tidak tuntas sebesar 65,38%. Kemudian, setelah implementasi pembelajaran melalui media kumpulan film pendek bertema pahlawan hasil keterampilan menulis puisi siswa pada siklus I mencapai tingkat tuntas sebesar 42, 30%, sedangkan pada tingkat tidak tuntas sebesar 57,69%. Pada siklus II mencapai tingkat tuntas sebesar 76,92%, sedangkan pada tingkat tidak tuntas sebesar 23,07%. Kesimpulannya pembelajaran menulis puisi melalui media kumpulan film pendek bertema pahlawan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi pada siswa kelas XI DPB WU 3 SMKN 3 Malang. Oleh karena itu, saran peneliti hendaknya guru mampu memilih media pembelajaran yang bervariatif dalam upaya meningkatkan keterampilan mengarang puisi.

English Abstract

The background of this research is that the poetry writing skills of XI grade DPB WU 3 students SMKN 3 Malang are still low. During this time, the learning carried out by the teacher is still monotonous, as the lecture method and learning media are less interesting and less innovative. At this time, students need enthusiasm for learning because learning has been done monotonously. Students' poetry composing skills are improved through the media of a collection of herothemed short films. The method used in this research is classroom action research (CAR). The research results obtained from learning through the media collection of short films with the theme of heroes and the poetry writing skills in XI grade DPB WU 3 students SMKN 3 Malang have increased. Based on the data from the preliminary study conducted comprehensively, students' poetry writing skills reached a complete level of 34.61% and an incomplete level of 65.38%. Then, after the implementation of learning through the media collection of hero-themed short films, the results of students' poetry writing skills in cycle I reached a complete level of 42.30%, while at an incomplete level of 57.69%. In cycle II, it reached a complete level of 76.92% while at an incomplete level of 23.07%. In conclusion, learning to write poetry through the media collection of short films with the theme of heroes can improve poetry writing skills in class XI DPB WU 3 SMKN 3 Malang students. Therefore, researchers suggest that teachers should be able to choose varied learning media to improve poetry writing skills.
