Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai kelompok penggemar dari Feel Koplo yaitu “Meledax”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui mengenai identitas, karakteristik, serta cara menjaga hal-hal yang dimiliki oleh “Meledax”. Penelitian ini menggunakan pemikiran Anthony Giddens mengenai identitas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui observasi partisipasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penentuan informan secara snowball sampling, dengan menentukan terlebih dahulu terkait informan kunci kemudian mendapatkan rekomendasi selanjutnya sebagai informan utama dan tambahan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa pendapat Giddens yang diterapkan seperti rutinitas, politik kehidupan, mediasi pengalaman, dan kesengsaraan diri. Namun cara-cara tersebut hanya dilakukan oleh setiap anggota untuk membangun identitas pada saat ini, sementara untuk pembentukan identitas di masa depan tidak diperlihatkan oleh semua anggota. Para anggota yang tidak paham akan kondisi tersebut mengakibatkan bisa mengganggu proses perkembangan “Meledax” yang sedang dibangun oleh beberapa anggota.

English Abstract

The study examines the fan community of Feel Koplo, known as “Meledax.” The purpose of this research is to explore the identity, characteristics, and strategies for maintaining the elements that define “Meledax.” The study is grounded in Anthony Giddens' theory of identity. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collection techniques including participant observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected using snowball sampling, beginning with key informants and subsequently identifying additional primary and supplementary informants through their recommendations. The findings of this study reveal that several of Giddens' concepts, such as routines, life politics, mediation of experience, and self-identity dilemmas, are reflected in the practices of the group. However, these strategies are only employed by individual members to construct their current identities, while the formation of future identities is not demonstrated by all members. The lack of understanding among some members regarding these conditions could potentially disrupt the development process of “Meledax,” which is being nurtured by certain members.
