Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi memberikan peluang untuk meningkatkan efisiensi komunikasi dan kolaborasi melalui aplikasi berbasis mobile. Ikatan Alumni SMAN 2 Jombang (IKA SMADAJO), yang memiliki komunitas alumni yang besar serta beragam, memiliki tantangan dalam pengelolaan informasi, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi akibat minimnya platform terpusat yang efisien. Komunikasi yang tidak terkoordinasi sering menghambat penyebaran informasi penting seperti berita, daftar acara, lowongan kerja, dan mentorship. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan solusi teknologi berupa aplikasi mobile yang dapat mengintegrasikan berbagai kebutuhan alumni dalam satu platform. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi mobile bagi IKA SMADAJO menggunakan framework React Native dan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD). Analisis kebutuhan menghasilkan 23 kebutuhan fungsional dan 5 kebutuhan non-fungsional, dengan aktor utama meliputi alumni, mentee, mentor, dan admin. Desain sistem mencakup diagram use case, use case scenario, wireframe, dan sequence diagram untuk memodelkan proses utama seperti pengelolaan berita, pendaftaran acara, forum, dan mentorship. Implementasi aplikasi dilakukan dengan React Native untuk pengembangan lintas platform dan Laravel sebagai backend untuk pengelolaan data yang aman. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi memenuhi seluruh kebutuhan fungsional tanpa adanya bug atau error berdasarkan pengujian black-box. Pengujian usability menghasilkan skor 81,0 (kategori excellent usability), yang mencerminkan kepuasan pengguna terhadap kemudahan navigasi dan fitur aplikasi. Aplikasi ini berhasil memenuhi kebutuhan alumni dan siap digunakan untuk meningkatkan komunikasi, penyebaran informasi, serta kolaborasi antaralumni IKA SMADAJO.
English Abstract
The development of information and communication technology provides opportunities to enhance communication and collaboration efficiency through mobile-based applications. The Alumni Association of SMAN 2 Jombang (IKA SMADAJO), with its large and diverse alumni community, faces challenges in managing information, communication, and collaboration due to the lack of an efficient centralized platform. Uncoordinated communication often hampers the dissemination of important information such as alumni news, events, job opportunities, and mentorship. Therefore, a technological solution in the form of a mobile application is needed to integrate various alumni needs into a single platform. This study aims to develop a mobile application for IKA SMADAJO using the React Native framework and the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The needs analysis identified 43 functional requirements and 11 nonfunctional requirements, with key system actors including alumni, mentees, mentors, and administrators. The system design includes use case diagrams, use case scenarios, wireframes, and sequence diagrams to model main processes such as news management, event registration, and mentorship. The application was implemented using React Native for cross-platform development and Laravel as the backend for secure data management. The testing results show that the application meets all functional requirements without any bugs or errors based on black-box testing. Usability testing achieved a score of 81.0 (categorized as excellent usability), reflecting user satisfaction with the application's ease of navigation and feature accessibility. This application successfully fulfills alumni needs and is ready to enhance communication, information dissemination, and collaboration among IKA SMADAJO alumni.
