Abstract

Penurunan fungsi kognitif semakin dikenal sebagai komplikasi umum dan komorbiditas pada penderita gagal jantung. Gangguan fungsi kognitif dapat mempengaruhi memori pasien dan kapasitas pengambilan keputusan yang bisa mengganggu kemampuan mereka untuk mengenali dan mengelola gejala yang memburuk. Crossword puzzle merupakan salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menghambat terjadinya penurunan fungsi kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh crossword puzzle berbasis aplikasi terhadap fungsi kognitif pasien gagal jantung di Poli Jantung RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian non-randomized control group pre-test and post-test. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu 80 responden yang terbagi menjadi 40 responden kelompok intervensi dan 40 responden kelompok kontrol. Intrumen penelitian menggunakan Montreal Cognitive Asessment Versi Indonesia (MOCA-Ina). Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji Paired T-test dan Independent T-test. Hasil uji Paired T-test menunjukkan perbedaan fungsi kognitif setelah diberikan crossword puzzle berbasis aplikasi (p-value 0.000 <0.005) dan leaflet (p value 0.003 <0.05). Hasil uji Independent T-test menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan fungsi kognitif sebelum diberikan crossword puzzle antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol dengan p-value 0.093 (>0.05). Hasil uji Independent T-test setelah diberikan intervensi crossword puzzle menunjukkan adanya perbedaan fungsi kognitif secara signifikan antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol dengan p-value 0.038 (<0.05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh crossword puzzle berbasis aplikasi terhadap fungsi kognitif pasien gagal jantung di Poli Jantung RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. Aplikasi CACA diharapkan bisa menjadi media terapi untuk melatih fungsi kognitif pasien.

English Abstract

Decreased cognitive function is increasingly recognized as a common complication and comorbidity in patients with heart failure. Impaired cognitive function can affect patients' memory and decision-making capacity, which may impair their ability to recognize and manage worsening symptoms. Crossword puzzle is one of the efforts that can be done to inhibit the decline in cognitive function. This study aims to analyze the effect of application-based crossword puzzles on the cognitive function of heart failure patients in the Cardiac Poly of Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang Hospital. The method used in this study is using quasi experiment with non-randomized control group pre-test and post-test research design. The number of samples in this study were 80 respondents who were divided into 40 intervention group respondents and 40 control group respondents. The research instrument used the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Indonesian Version (MOCA-Ina). Analysis of research data using Paired T-test and Independent T-test. Paired T-test results showed differences in cognitive function after being given an application-based crossword puzzle (p-value 0.000 <0.005) and leaflet (p value 0.003 <0.05). The results of the Independent T-test showed no difference in cognitive function before being given a crossword puzzle between the intervention and control groups with a p-value of 0.093 (>0.05). The results of the Independent T-test after being given a crossword puzzle intervention showed a significant difference in cognitive function between the intervention and control groups with a p-value of 0.038 (<0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of application-based crossword puzzles on the cognitive function of heart failure patients in the Cardiology Clinic of Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital Malang. CACA application is expected to be a therapeutic medium to train the cognitive function of patients.
