Abstract

Stress pada lansia pensiun disebabkan karena berbagai masalah dan peristiwa yang muncul seperti masalah kesehatan, kehilangan pasangan hidup, dan pensiun dari pekerjaan. Keluarga merupakan salah satu sistem pendukung pada lansia untuk mempertahankan dan membantu peningkatan kondisi mental, mengatasi perubahan sosial ekonomi, mampu memberikan dorongan motivasi dan memenuhi kebutuhan spiritual lansia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan tingkat stress pada lansia pensiun di Ikatan Pensiunan Universitas Brawijaya (IPUB). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional pada 70 responden yang telah ditentukan dengan teknik convenience sampling. Kuisioner yang digunakan adalah kuisioner dukungan keluarga dan kuisioner Perceived Stress Scale 10 (PSS-10). Teknik analisa data menggunakan uji Spearman Rank untuk menganalisis hubungan antara dua variabel. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki dukungan keluarga dalam kategori baik (68,6%) dan sebagian besar lansia memiliki tingkat stress dengan kategori sedang (50%). Hasil uji korelasi am7enunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan keluarga dengan tingkat stress pada lansia pensiun dengan nilai p-value 0,000 dan nilai koefisien korelasi -0,608 yang bermakna semakin tinggi dukungan keluarga maka semakin menurunkan tingkat stress pada lansia pensiun di Ikatan Pensiunan Universitas Brawijaya (IPUB). Dalam meningkatkan dukungan keluarga, perlu adanya pemberdayaan keluarga dengan pelatihan atau konseling kepada keluarga mengenai pentingnya komunikasi yang baik untuk mendukung lansia pensiun mencapai kondisi sejahtera baik emosional dan sosial dalam menjalani masa pensiun.

English Abstract

Stress in the elderly retirees is caused by various problems and events that arise such as health problems, loss of a life partner, and retirement from work. Family is one of the support systems for the elderly to maintain and help improve mental condition, overcome socio-economic changes, be able to provide motivational encouragement and meet the spiritual needs of the elderly. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between family support and stress levels in the elderly in the University of Brawijaya Retirement Association (IPUB). The research method used was correlational analysis with a cross sectional approach on 70 respondents who had been determined by convenience sampling techniques. The questionnaires used were the family support questionnaire and the Perceived Stress Scale 10 (PSS-10) questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the Spearman Rank test to analyze the relationship between two variables. The results of the analysis of the research data showed that the majority of respondents had family support in the good category (68.6%) and most of the elderly had a stress level in the moderate category (50%). The results of the correlation test showed a significant relationship between family support and stress levels in retired seniors with a p-value of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient value of -0.608 which means that the higher family support, the lower the stress level in retired seniors at the University of Brawijaya Retirement Association (IPUB). In increasing family support, it is necessary to empower families with training or counseling to families about the importance of good communication to support the elderly in retirement to achieve a prosperous condition, both emotionally and socially in living retirement
