Abstract

Gagal jantung merupakan penyakit kronis yang memerlukan perawatan berkelanjutan, sehingga peran keluarga sebagai caregiver sangat penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan self-care pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi melalui aplikasi Cardiac Care (CACA) terhadap kesiapan keluarga sebagai caregiver pasien gagal jantung di RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimental nonrandomized pre-test dan post-test control group dengan 68 keluarga sebagai caregiver. Responden dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu 34 kelompok intervensi dan 34 kelompok kontrol. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi keluarga caregiver pasien gagal jantung berusia >18 tahun, NYHA pasien II dan III, tinggal serumah, memiliki android versi 5.0 atau lebih, penyimpanan minimal 200 MB, dan skor DHFKS sedang-tinggi. Kriteria eksklusi adalah responden yang tidak bersedia mengikuti penelitian sampai akhir. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah aplikasi Cardiac Care, leaflet, dan kuesioner The Preparedness for Caregiving Scale Indonesian Version (I-PCS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa edukasi menggunakan aplikasi CACA berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesiapan keluarga sebagai caregiver, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05). Kelompok intervensi yang menggunakan aplikasi CACA menunjukkan peningkatan kesiapan yang tinggi. Aplikasi CACA terbukti lebih efektif dari leaflet karena memberikan fleksibilitas dan akses informasi yang lebih interaktif, sementara leaflet terbatas dalam hal interaktivitas. Rumah sakit dan tenaga kesehatan dapat mempertimbangkan penggunaan aplikasi berbasis teknologi seperti Cardiac Care untuk edukasi keluarga pasien gagal jantung guna mendukung keberhasilan selfcare pasien

English Abstract

Heart failure is a chronic disease that requires continuous care, making the role of family caregivers crucial in supporting the success of patient self-care. This study aims to determine the impact of education through the Cardiac Care (CACA) application on the preparedness of families as caregivers for heart failure patients at RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. This quantitative study uses a quasi-experimental non-randomized pre-test and post-test control group design with 68 family caregivers. Respondents were divided into two groups: 34 in the intervention group and 34 in the control group. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with inclusion criteria of family caregivers of heart failure patients aged over 18, NYHA classification II and III, living in the same household, owning an Android phone with version 5.0 or higher, with a minimum of 200 MB storage, and having moderate to high DHFKS scores. Exclusion criteria included respondents who were not willing to complete the study. The instruments used were the Cardiac Care application, a leaflet, and the Preparedness for Caregiving Scale Indonesian Version (I-PCS) questionnaire. The results showed that education using the CACA application significantly influenced family caregiver preparedness, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). The intervention group using the CACA application showed a high increase in preparedness. The CACA application was proven to be more effective than the leaflet because it provides flexibility and interactive access to information, while the leaflet is limited in interactivity. Hospitals and healthcare professionals should consider using technology-based applications like Cardiac Care for educating family caregivers of heart failure patients to support the success of patient self-care
