Abstract
Tanaman selada merah lollo rosa memiliki daun merah tua sampai keunguan dengan tekstur daun keriting yang renyah dan kaya kalsium, tetapi produksinya sering fluktuatif. Penurunan kualitas dan kuantitas dapat disebabkan oleh faktor abiotik seperti media tanam dan nutrisi yang tidak tepat, serta faktor biotik seperti serangan penyakit. Solusi yang dapat diterapkan meliputi penggunaan pupuk NPK atau bakteri endofit dari Platycerium coronarium dan Platycerium willinckii sebagai PGPB untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan, hasil, dan ketahanan tanaman selada merah lollo rosa. Kedua spesies Platycerium tersebut unggul dalam menghadapi cekaman lingkungan seperti kekeringan, serta mendukung kehidupan bakteri endofit yang dapat meningkatkan ketersediaan nutrisi, memproduksi hormon pertumbuhan, dan memperkuat ketahanan tanaman terhadap patogen Penelitian dilakukan pada Agustus–November 2024 di Laboratorium Penyakit Tumbuhan, Departemen Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya dan lahan Lily Harvest Sumber Jejer yang terletak di Desa Junggo, Kecamatan Bumiaji, Kota Batu. Tahapan meliputi persiapan lahan, peremajaan isolat bakteri Platycerium coronarium dan Platycerium willinckii, perendaman benih dan penyemaian, pindah tanam dan penanaman, aplikasi PGPB, perawatan tanaman, serta pengamatan. Analisis data menggunakan ANOVA dan uji lanjut menggunakan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) dengan signifikansi 5 % menggunakan software MS Excel dan Rstudio. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan isolat bakteri C1A, C3A, W2A lebih unggul pada parameter pertumbuhan tanaman. Beberapa isolat, seperti C1A, C1D, C3B, W1A, W1C, dan W2A efektif menekan intensitas penyakit busuk daun, membuktikan bahwa bakteri endofit dari Platycerium coronarium dan Platycerium willinckii efektif meningkatkan pertumbuhan hasil dan ketahanan tanaman selada merah lollo rosa.
English Abstract
The lollo rosa red lettuce plant has dark red to purplish leaves with a crisp, curly texture and is rich in calcium, but its production often fluctuates. Quality and quantity reductions can be caused by abiotic factors such as improper growing media and nutrients, as well as biotic factors such as disease attacks. Solutions include the use of NPK fertilizers or endophytic bacteria from Platycerium coronarium and Platycerium willinckii as PGPB to improve the growth, yield, and resilience of Lollo Rosa red lettuce plants. Both Platycerium species excel in coping with environmental stresses such as drought and support the survival of endophytic bacteria that enhance nutrient availability, produce growth hormones, and strengthen plant resistance to pathogens. The research was conducted from September to November 2024 at the Plant Disease Laboratory, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya, and at the Lily Harvest Sumber Jejer field located in Junggo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. The stages included land preparation, rejuvenation of bacterial isolates from Platycerium coronarium and Platycerium willinckii, seed soaking and germination, transplanting and planting, PGPB application, plant maintenance, and observation. Data analysis used ANOVA and Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level with MS Excel and Rstudio software. The research results indicate that bacterial isolates C1A, C3A, and W2A excel in plant growth parameters. Several isolates, such as C1A, C1D, C3B, W1A, W1C, and W2A, effectively reduced The intensity of leaf blight disease., demonstrating that endophytic bacteria from Platycerium coronarium and Platycerium willinckii are effective in enhancing the growth, yield, and resilience of lollo rosa red lettuce plants.
