Abstract

Efikasi diri ibu memiliki peran penting dalam proses pengasuhan atau perawatan anak dengan kondisi kronis. Dengan perawatan ibu yang baik, maka dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup anak dengan kondisi kronis pada fungsi fisik, fungsi emosional, fungsi sosial, dan fungsi sekolahnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan efikasi diri ibu terhadap kualitas hidup anak dengan kondisi kronis di RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Kota Malang Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel terdiri dari 154 responden ibu yang merawat anak dengan kondisi kronis pada rentang usia anak 2-4 tahun, 5-7 tahun, dan 8-12 tahun dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data efikasi diri ibu diukur menggunakan kuesioner Perceived Maternal Parenting Self Efficacy (PMP-SE), sedangkan kualitas hidup anak dengan kondisi kronis diukur menggunakan kuesioner Pediatric Quality of Life (PedsQlTM). Analisis data univariat pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil bahwa sebanyak 141 ibu (91,6%) memiliki efikasi diri yang tinggi, selain itu didapatkan data terkait kualitas hidup anak dan dinyatakan bahwa sebanyak 87 anak (56,5%) memiliki kualitas hidup yang buruk. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji korelasi spearman, didapatkan p-value sebesar 0,328 dengan koefisien korelasi 0,079 yang menggambarkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara efikasi diri ibu dan kualitas hidup anak dengan kondisi kronis. Diharapkan untuk dapat mengkaji faktor lain yang berhubungan dengan efikasi diri ibu yang merawat anak dengan kondisi kronis.

English Abstract

Mother self-efficacy plays an important role in the process of caring for children with chronic conditions. With good mother care, it can affect the quality of life of children with chronic conditions in physical function, emotional function, social function, and school function. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between mother self-efficacy and the quality of life of children with chronic conditions at Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital Malang City, East Java. This research method uses a cross sectional design with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 154 mother respondents who cared for children with chronic conditions in the age range of 2-4 years, 5-7 years, and 8-12 years with purposive sampling technique. Mother self-efficacy data were measured using the Perceived Maternal Parenting Self Efficacy (PMP-SE) questionnaire, while the quality of life of children with chronic conditions was measured using the Pediatric Quality of Life (PedsQlTM) questionnaire. Univariate data analysis in this study found that 141 mothers (91.6%) had high self-efficacy, in addition to obtaining data related to children's quality of life and stated that 87 children (56.5%) had a poor quality of life. Bivariate analysis using the Spearman correlation test, obtained a p-value of 0.328 with a correlation coefficient of 0.079 which illustrates that there is no significant relationship between mother self-efficacy and children's quality of life with chronic conditions. It is expected to be able to examine other factors associated with the self-efficacy of mothers caring for children with chronic conditions.
