Indriyani, Nela and Alfrina Hany, S.Kep., M.Ng(AC) (2024) Pengaruh Edukasi Self-Care Melalui Aplikasi Cardiac Care Terhadap Kepatuhan Self-Care Pasien Gagal Jantung di RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Heart failure is a chronic disease with the highest number of repeated hospitalizations in Indonesia. The reason heart failure patients are readmitted is because they experience a relapse due to non-compliance in self-care. To improve self-care compliance in heart failure patients at home, innovation in providing education to heart failure patients is needed. Education through the Cardiac Care (CACA) application can be an educational innovation for heart failure patients in carrying out self-care. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-care education through the Cardiac Care application on self-care compliance in heart failure patients at Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang Regional Hospital. This research method is a quasi-experiment with a nonrandomized pre-test and post-test control group research design. The number of respondents in this study was 80 respondents divided into 40 respondents in the intervention group and 40 respondents in the control group. The instrument used in this study was the Revised Heart Failure Compliance Scale. The results of the Paired T-Test showed a difference in self-care compliance with education using the Cardiac Care application (p-value 0.000 <0.05) with an average difference of 5.47 and leaflets (p-value 0.000 <0.05) with an average difference of 1.60. This shows that self-care education through the Cardiac Care application has a significant effect on self-care compliance in heart failure patients at Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang Hospital. Education through the Cardiac Care application can form positive behavior that has a good impact on health.
