Abstract

Air Susu Ibu (ASI) memiliki peran yang sangat penting di ruang NICU karena mampu memberikan nutrisi yang terbaik, memperkuat sistem kekebalan tubuh, mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi serta membantu dalam proses pemulihan bayi selama menjalani perawatan di ruang NICU. Keberhasilan pemberian ASI dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya yaitu dukungan tenaga kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan tenaga kesehatan dengan praktik pemberian ASI pada bayi di ruang NICU RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Jawa Timur. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian ini melibatkan 44 ibu dengan bayi yang dirawat di ruang NICU RSSA Jawa Timur yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner NPST (Nurse Parent Support Tool) yang terdiri dari 21 pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar bayi menerima ASI penuh (63,6%) dengan dukungan tenaga kesehatan dinilai baik oleh mayoritas responden (75%). Analisis data menggunakan uji Spearman Rank dengan tingkat signifikansi p < 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai p = 0,007 yang artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan tenaga kesehatan terhadap pemberian ASI dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,400 yang mengindikasikan hubungan positif dengan kekuatan sedang. Dengan demikian diharapkan perawat dapat terus memberikan dukungan yang memadai pada ibu yang bayinya menjalani perawatan di ruang NICU baik dalam bentuk dukungan emosional, penghargaan, instrumental serta informasi, dikarenakan semakin baik dukungan yang diberikan oleh tenaga kesehatan, semakin besar pula peluang keberhasilan pemberian ASI yang dapat tercapai.

English Abstract

Breast Milk (ASI) plays a crucial role in the NICU as it provides optimal nutrition, strengthens the immune system, supports the growth and development of the baby, and helps in the recovery process during NICU care. The success of breastfeeding can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the support from healthcare professionals. This study aimed to determine the relationship between healthcare workers' support and breastfeeding practices for infants in the NICU of Dr. Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital, East Java. The research design was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The study involved 44 mothers with infants treated in the NICU of RSSA East Java, selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using the NPST (Nurse Parent Support Tool) questionnaire, which consisted of 21 statements. The results showed that the majority of infants received exclusive breastfeeding (63.6%), with healthcare support rated as good by most respondents (75%). Data analysis used the Spearman Rank test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed a p-value of 0.007, meaning there was a significant relationship between healthcare support and breastfeeding, with a correlation coefficient of 0.400, indicating a moderate positive relationship. Therefore, it is expected that nurses continue to provide adequate support to mothers whose babies are receiving care in the NICU, both in the form of emotional support, appreciation, instrumental support, and information. The better the support provided by healthcare professionals, the greater the chance of successful breastfeeding being achieved
