Abstract
Pasien gagal ginjal kronis semakin meningkat prevalensinya pada usia produktif. Pasien akan melakukan terapi pengganti fungsi filtrasi ginjal yang biasa dikenal dengan hemodialisis. Saat hemodialisis, pasien membutuhkan peran keluarga untuk merawat. Perawatan yang lama dapat memunculkan beban bagi keluarga. Beban tersebut akan mempengaruhi regulasi emosi keluarga. Faktor eksternal yang dapat mempengaruhi regulasi emosi adalah dukungan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan dukungan sosial dengan regulasi emosi keluarga dalam merawat pasien gagal ginjal kronis usia produktif yang menjalani hemodialisis di Rumah Sakit Lavalette Malang. Rancangan penelitian adalah deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Responden penelitian terdiri dari 201 keluarga. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Berlin Social Support Scales (BSSS) dan kuesioner Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ). Hasil uji korelasi menggunakan Spearman Rank menunjukkan p-value 0.000 dan r-correlation 0.430. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan 134 responden memiliki dukungan sosial tinggi dan 115 responden memiliki regulasi emosi sedang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan regulasi emosi keluarga dalam merawat pasien gagal ginjal kronis usia produktif yang hemodialisis. Dengan demikian, profesi perawat dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan tidak hanya berfokus pada pasien tetapi juga dapat memastikan dukungan sosial yang diterima keluarga sudah adekuat sehingga regulasi emosi keluarga efektif.
English Abstract
The prevalence of chronic renal failure in individuals of a productive age is on the rise. Patients will undergo replacement therapy for kidney filtration function, which is commonly referred to as hemodialysis. During hemodialysis, patients require the support of their families. A lengthy course of treatment can impose a significant burden on the family. Such circumstances may have an impact on the family's emotional regulation. An external factor that can influence emotional regulation is social support. The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between social support and family emotional regulation in the context of providing care for patients of productive age with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis at Lavalette Hospital in Malang. The research design was descriptive and correlational, employing a cross-sectional approach. The research respondents comprised of 201 families. The research instruments employed were the Berlin Social Support Scales (BSSS) and the Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ). The results of the Spearman rank correlation test yielded a p-value of 0.000 and an r-value of 0.430. In this study, 134 respondents exhibited high levels of social support, while 115 respondents demonstrated moderate emotional regulation. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between social support and family emotional regulation in the care of patients of productive age with chronic renal failure who are undergoing hemodialysis. Therefore, the nursing profession's provision of care extends beyond the patient to encompass the family unit. This ensures that the family's social support is adequate, there by facilitating effective emotional regulation.
