Abstract
Mengunggah foto penampilan diri di media sosial menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi citra tubuh positif maupun negatif pada remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan mengunggah foto penampilan diri di media sosial dengan citra tubuh pada remaja SMA. Desain penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik non-eksperimental dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu non-probability sampling dengan purposive sampling. Responden diambil berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan peneliti. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan gform kuesioner secara online. Responden penelitian ini terdiri dari 293 siswa remaja SMA. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Modifikasi Selfitis Behavior Scale (SBS) dan Multidimensional Body Self Relations QuestionnaireAppearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS). Uji hubungan dua variabel menggunakan uji Spearman Rank dengan p-value 0,05, dikarenakan kedua kuesioner memiliki skala ukur ordinal dan berdistribusi tidak normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar remaja mempunyai perilaku mengunggah foto penampilan diri di media sosial kategori acute yaitu 278 (94,9%), borderline yaitu 14 (4,8%), dan chronic yaitu 1 (0,3%), sedangkan sebagian besar remaja mempunyai citra tubuh positif sebanyak 222 (75,8%) dan negatif sebanyak 71 (24,2%). Hubungan antara kedua variabel tergolong sangat lemah dengan nilai koefiensi korelasi sebesar -0,148 dan p-value 0,011. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan mengunggah foto penampilan diri di media sosial dengan citra tubuh pada remaja SMA. Dengan demikian diharapkan perawat dapat memberikan edukasi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran remaja tentang pentingnya mengembangkan potensi diri melalui hobi dan kegiatan positif.
English Abstract
Uploading photos of oneself on social media has become one of the factors influencing both positive and negative body image perceptions among teenagers. This study aims to analyze the relationship between uploading self-appearance photos on social media and body image among high school students. The design of this study is a nonexperimental analytical observational approach with a cross-sectional method. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. Respondents were selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria established by the researcher. Data collection was conducted by distributing the questionnaire gform online. The respondents of this study consisted of 293 high school teenage students. The instruments used are the Modified Selfitis Behavior Scale (SBS) and the Multidimensional Body Self Relations Questionnaire-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS). The two-variable relationship test used the Spearman Rank test with a p-value of 0.05, because both questionnaires have an ordinal measurement scale and are not normally distributed. The research results show that the majority of teenagers exhibit behavior of uploading selfappearance photos on social media in the acute category, which is 278 (94.9%), borderline category 14 (4.8%), and chronic category 1 (0.3%), while the majority of teenagers have a positive body image amounting to 222 (75.8%) and a negative body image amounting to 71 (24.2%). The relationship between the two variables is classified as very weak with a correlation coefficient of -0.148 and a p-value of 0.011. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between posting self-appearance photos on social media and body image among high school teenagers. Thus, it is hoped that nurses can provide education aimed at raising teenagers' awareness of the importance of developing their potential through hobbies and positive activities.
